The "Future in Flowers" festival awaits you at the RUSSIA EXPO
More than 100 million flowers, over a hundred floral
expositions of regions, departments and state corporations, unique floral art
objects are waiting for guests of the RUSSIA EXPO at the "Future in
Flowers" festival. The floral festival will start on the territory of VDNH
and will last until July 8.
The guests of the RUSSIA EXPO will be welcomed by elegant
strolling and lounge zones that are drowning in greenery, floral masterclasses,
floral fashion show, lectures by the most famous breeders and fascinating
quizzes for children.
The leading Russian breeders will present their best
achievements: about 400 varieties of peonies, 140 varieties of lilacs, 120
varieties of irises, 250 varieties of roses, 30 varieties of dahlias and
hundreds of other Russian plants.
A special section dedicated to the festival has already
been opened on the Exposition website. Here you will get acquainted with amazing
properties of sphagnum, incredible white dandelions, promising Crimean olive.
You will learn the secrets of rhododendron from the Irkutsk region, a plant
from the tears of the Virgin Mary and a marvelous rose of peace from the
Donetsk Republic. By the way, these roses were given to the heads of
delegations of the founding countries at the first meeting of the UN General
Assembly.
You will get immersed in the history of the region through a story about the plants growing on its territory, about breeding achievements, about the way these plants have influenced the economy. You will also learn about the medicinal properties of plants, the ways they are used in folk medicine and in modern medicine.
"Future in Flowers" is a story about our natural wealth, history, folk wisdom and Russia's unique high tech.
Along with the RUSSIA EXPO, the flower festival is also coming to an end.
