A branch of the National Centre RUSSIA will open in Ryazan in the summer of 2025
The opening
of the regional branch of the National Centre RUSSIA is scheduled for the
summer of 2025 in Ryazan. It will be located at the Ryazan VDNH, which spans about
six hectares. Visitors can look forward to the expositions "Past. Present.
Future," the Department Store of Regional Brands, the local "Regional
Cuisine," the "Achievements of Ryazan Region" gallery, and other
attractions.
The
branches of the National Centre RUSSIA are being created on the instructions of
the President of the Russian Federation, Vladimir Putin.
The future
sites of the Ryazan branch, along with representatives of the regional
Government, were visited by the working group of the National Centre RUSSIA,
which provides comprehensive support and methodological assistance both during
the opening stage and later, when launching new exhibitions and projects.
"Today,
the Ryazan VDNH is the only preserved and restored ensemble of the regional exhibition
from the Soviet period, out of the 11 complexes that were once built. That is
why it is best suited to convey the legacy of the RUSSIA EXPO. The task of the
National Centre RUSSIA and the branches being created in the regions is to
showcase the main achievements of the country, projects that will be
implemented in the future, but most importantly, for our children and youth to
take pride in their Russia," said Irina Tesleva, Head of the National
Centre RUSSIA's Regional Interaction Department.
Today, the
Ryazan VDNH is a point of attraction for tourists, as well as for local
residents, noted Artem Nikitin, Deputy Chairman of the Ryazan Region
Government.
"On
the instruction of the Governor of the Ryazan Region, Pavel Malkov, we have
carried out extensive work on the restoration of the Ryazan VDNH, creating — or
rather — recreating a vibrant point of attraction for both the locals and
tourists visiting us, filling the historical pavilions with new, modern life.
But, in general, for the territory of the Ryazan VDNH, this is only the
beginning. This year, we are set to complete the improvement of the Young
Naturalists' Garden, an adjacent part of our VDNH complex, and in 2026, we plan
to open a congress hall, which will become a new feature of this location. It
will house, among other things, a permanent exposition showcasing the
achievements of our region. We will be able to implement this project thanks to
federal support," emphasized Artem Nikitin.
Visitors to
the Ryazan branch of the National Centre RUSSIA will be welcomed with
educational and business programs, workshops, both permanent and seasonal
expositions, children's zones, lecture halls, and areas for local cuisine. The
new exposition space and cultural and community hub will allow residents and
guests of the region to discover the achievements and potential of the Ryazan
region.
The National Centre RUSSIA reminds everyone that registration for the video essay contest "Dreams of the Future".
