The National Centre RUSSIA in the Primorye Territory will take part in the III All-Russian Wedding Festival
On Family, Love and Fidelity Day, 8 July, the National
Centre RUSSIA branch in the Primorye Territory will join the events of the III
All-Russian Wedding Festival in Moscow, where a large-scale simultaneous
wedding ceremony will be held for more than 100 couples from across the
country. Marriages will also be registered at the National Centre RUSSIA
branches in the Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Area — Yugra and the Krasnoyarsk
Territory. This is the first year the festival is expanding beyond the capital.
Among the participants in the III All-Russian Wedding Festival in the Primorye
Territory are Mikhail Kovalev and Olga Kovaleva. The couple met in
Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk: Olga worked in the city duma, while Mikhail had been
transferred to Sakhalin to serve in the local office of the Ministry of
Internal Affairs. Their first meeting was accidental and did not lead anywhere.
Some time later, however, Olga and Mikhail met again and realised it was fate.
When his contract ended, Mikhail returned home to Nakhodka, but soon came back
to Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk for the woman he loved and took her with him. The groom
jokes that he found his love on an island and took her away from the islanders.
"For us, family is not just the people closest to us; it is understanding,
emotions and shared goals. It is a space where you can be yourself, receive
sincere support in difficult times and share the joy of every day," Olga
and Mikhail say.
Another couple is Aikazun Lapko and Oksana Solovyova. Their story is full of
unexpected turns. They first met back in 2013 through mutual friends, but at
the time both were in relationships. Several years later, when Oksana was
already divorced, her car suddenly broke down. She remembered that she had once
been introduced to a specialist who worked at a car service centre and was
excellent at repairs. Through mutual acquaintances, Oksana found Aikazun’s
phone number. It turned out that he was also single. The spark of their earlier
affection flared up so strongly that the couple are now preparing for their
wedding.
"Family is the most important thing a person should have. It is great
happiness and hard work. Starting a family is easy, but keeping it together is
not. The most important things in a family are respect and love," Aikazun
and Oksana say.
Alexei Seleznyov and Anastasia Tabolova will get married at the National Centre
RUSSIA in Vladivostok. They met on a dating website and immediately found
common ground. On their first date, they went to the cinema and walked along
the embankment, and just a few days later Anastasia introduced Alexei to her
little daughter Alisa. Soon the couple began living together, and four months
later Alexei proposed to Nastya. When they saw an announcement of the
All-Russian Wedding Festival in the news feed, they immediately decided that it
was time to get married.
"Family is a little kingdom of love and care, where every day is filled
with warmth and support. We spend a lot of time together. One of our traditions
is a family ‘fish’ day, when we have a picnic by the sea, play a ‘sea quiz’ and
collect shells and pebbles for our home ‘sea corner’. In autumn, we go hiking
for the gifts of the taiga: mushrooms, pine cones, leaves and twigs for our
home herbarium," Alexei and Anastasia share.
Dmitry Fedorov and Ksenia Turusheva also found each other on a dating website.
First came messages and smiles through the screen, then a first meeting, after
which everything became real. Words and shared stories grew into a warm feeling
and sincere trust. The couple dream of a little daughter and a cosy home
surrounded by nature. For now, the future newlyweds are learning family
traditions from their parents, as both consider their families examples of
acceptance and support.
"Family is support and unconditional love. It is people who stand by you,
care for you and share responsibility, meaning and the joys of life,"
Dmitry and Ksenia say.
Anatoly Karlyshev and Alyona Melnichuk will soon become
husband and wife. Interestingly, their romantic story began with a car
breakdown. Alyona’s tyre went flat on the road, and Anatoly, a professional
lorry driver, stopped and helped her. Cars are a shared passion for the bride
and groom. They also enjoy playing volleyball together, fishing and travelling.
"We dream of building a large house, raising children and giving them a
good education. We believe that family means mutual understanding, trust,
respect and commitment to human values," Anatoly and Alyona say.
In the Year of Unity of the Peoples of Russia, declared by President Vladimir
Putin, the main theme of the festival is "United in Love": the unity
of hearts, culture, traditions and values.
