A couple from the Republic of North Ossetia — Alania will tie the knot at the All-Russian Wedding Festival
A couple from the Republic of North Ossetia — Alania will take part in the III All-Russian Wedding Festival "Russia. Uniting Hearts", where they will seal their union alongside more than 100 couples from across the country during a simultaneous wedding ceremony. The large-scale event will be held on Family, Love and Fidelity Day, 8 July, in Moscow, at the National Centre RUSSIA.
Among the couples who will marry at the festival are Timur Valiyev and Lyudmila Chertkoyeva. Both work in healthcare: Timur is a neurosurgeon, while Lyudmila is a dentist. Symbolically, the two found each other on 21 June, Medical Worker’s Day. At a festive event, among the many guests, Timur immediately noticed a beautiful girl who stood out "like a white swan among a flock of birds". The impression was so strong that Timur did not dare approach the beauty. After the celebration, he realised that his life had been divided into "before" and "after". The young man decided not to wait for a second chance, but to take fate into his own hands: he found out where the beautiful stranger worked and booked a consultation with her. That was how their love story began. Timur proposed on the symbolic date of 21 June. Moreover, on this day Lyudmila celebrates not only her professional holiday, but also her personal one — her birthday.
"We want a big happy family, lots of children, our own house with a vegetable garden, to travel a lot and one day build our own medical clinic so that we can help people," Timur and Lyudmila say.
This year, the All-Russian Wedding Festival is expanding its horizons. Alongside couples from across the country, international and foreign couples will say "I do!" to each other at the National Centre RUSSIA.
The main event of the first day of the programme, 8 July, will be the simultaneous wedding ceremony for couples from across the country. The celebration will be adorned by the passing of the flame of the all-Russian family hearth "Heart of Russia". The newlyweds will receive a particle of the flame from Murom, where the holy patrons of marriage Peter and Fevronia lived, from couples who married at previous festivals.
On the second day, 9 July, educational lectures, a gastronomic and musical programme, as well as tours of the National Centre RUSSIA expositions "Journey Across Russia" and "Geography Lessons", will be held for the newlyweds, their guests and everyone wishing to join the celebration of love. Everyone who shares family values and is interested in wedding traditions can register to take part in the educational part of the wedding festival on the National Centre RUSSIA website. One of the key events of the second day will be "Khorovod. Wedding", a symbol of unity, strong bonds and readiness to lend a helping hand. This dance, long loved by Russians, will bring together all participants in the event.
The festival is organised by the National Centre RUSSIA jointly with the Moscow Government and the Moscow Civil Registry Office.
On the eve of the III All-Russian Wedding Festival, the "Loving the Russian Way" conversation offered guests an opportunity to combine personal experience with psychological knowledge.
The III All-Russian Wedding Festival, which will take place on 8-9 July at the National Centre RUSSIA, will unite truly loving hearts.
Wedding ceremonies will also take place at the National Centre RUSSIA branches in the Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Area — Yugra and the Primorye Territory.
