Gastronomic workshop on Far Eastern and Belarusian cuisine was held in Vladivostok
On 10 October, a unique gastronomic workshop took place on the central square of Vladivostok as part of the Days of Belarus in the Primorye region. It was organized with the support of the National Centre RUSSIA in the Primorye region. At the event, the Belarusian chanterelle soup and Primorye-style ukha (fish soup) were cooked, and offered to the attendees.
From 15:00 to 18:00, professional chefs from the Primorye restaurants "Omelet Station" and the gastro-bar "Tuman" cooked the Primorye-style soup and Far Eastern tea, while their colleagues from Belarusian Mogilev meat processing plant prepared chanterelle soup, a traditional Belarusian dish, the ingredients for which they brought from Belarus.
The dishes were cooked in 100-litre cauldrons, which made it possible to feed all the guests of the event. The soups and tea were distributed absolutely free of charge. In total, more than 650 plates of fish soup and mushroom soup, and 500 cups of tea, were consumed. Everyone could appreciate the taste and experience the gastronomic unity of the two cultures.
The event showcased the possibilities of interregional and international cultural exchange. According to Vitaly Stanislavchuk, Deputy Director of the Primorye Tourism Information Centre, this practice helps strengthen friendly ties and familiarize Primorye residents with the culinary traditions of partner regions.
On 10 October, an agreement on cooperation in the development of tourism in the Primorye region and Mogilev region of the Republic of Belarus, was signed at the branch of the National Centre RUSSIA in the Primorye region.
