A gastronomic journey to Tula: the National Centre RUSSIA invites you to a tasty presentation of the region
On 20 September, the National Centre RUSSIA will host the culinary presentation "Taste Tula" as part of the Tula region themed week at the exposition "Region-2030. Platform of the Future". Guests will have the opportunity to discover the gastronomic traditions of the Tula region through four specially prepared tasting blocks.
14:00 — "Pure Flavours of Tula Cuisine"
Renowned Tula restaurateur Igor Sindeyev will present spelt porridge with pickles, duck and lard. He will explain how a simple peasant dish became one of the gastronomic symbols of the region while preserving its authenticity and natural simplicity.
14:30 — "Original Interpretation"
Chef of the restaurant Wine&Whiskey by Simple, Vladimir Lomonosov, will prepare for participants fillet of white fish with baked apple, cranberries and a sauce made from Tula gingerbread — a dish inspired by an old recipe of Tula landowner Vasily Lyovshin. This unexpected gastronomic experiment will demonstrate how traditional flavours of the region can be reimagined in a modern way.
15:00 — "Immersive Tasting"
Chef Yelena Chipenko will present the programme "Tula Gingerbread: From Zhamka to a Modern Treat". Guests will learn the story of the legendary dessert and trace its evolution from simple dough to a complex delicacy with rich symbolic meaning.
15:30 — "Inspired by History"
Brand chef of the country hotel Just WOOD, Anton Krupenin, will present the Ankovsky pie in a modern interpretation. The famous dessert, recreated according to the recipe of Sofia Andreyevna Tolstaya, will serve as a bridge between the culinary traditions of the 19th century and contemporary gastronomic trends.
The event will be hosted by Yekaterina Shapovalova, author of gastronomic programmes at the National Centre RUSSIA.
The Tula Region Days at the exposition "Region-2030. Platform of the Future" at the National Centre RUSSIA will run until 21 September. The programme of the theme week includes open dialogues with federal experts, presentations of investment and tourism potential, lectures, workshops and cultural events for children and young people.
The event traditionally focuses on discussing current issues of food quality and safety.
Semyon Minakov and his teammate Nikita Shevchenko won a prize with their project about the feat of their compatriots.
The final of "Intervision" will take place on 20 September in Moscow at the Live Arena.
