The Averin gymnasts talked about the new show and made personal confessions about the sport
Multiple rhythmic gymnastics champions Arina and Dina Averina will perform in a theatrical and artistic show "Swan Lake" with ballet elements in Nizhny Novgorod. This was announced by the sisters in the Gazprom Lecture Hall at the International RUSSIA EXPO.
The athletes met with children who also practice gymnastics and with their parents. Arina Averina admitted that if she had not gone into rhythmic gymnastics, she would have become a figure skater. But her sister never dreamed of another sport.
"As for me, I only wanted to do rhythmic gymnastics. Since childhood I wrote in my notebook that I want to do rhythmic gymnastics, to win the Olympics and the world championship," said Dina Averina.
Famous gymnasts frankly answered children's questions. The girls noted that in Russia the opportunity to go in for sports both in a big city and in a small village allows to raise a healthy generation, helps new champions. According to the sportswomen, there were no such conditions when they just started their careers.
It should be reminded that the RUSSIA EXPO at VDNH presents expositions of 89 regions of the country, leading federal departments, corporations and public organizations. Lectures, workshops and meetings with celebrities are held for visitors.
