On the very first day of the International Trade Fair "INNOPROM. Central Asia" in Tashkent, the stand of the National Centre RUSSIA with its flagship project — the Department Store RUSSIA — became a point of attraction for everyone wanting to see, feel, and take home a piece of the real Russia. Among the dozens of brands presented, guests have already singled out five particularly striking, unusual, and inspiring product lines, each with its own unique story.

The Kotovsk roly-poly doll and its "Uzbek sister"

The main hit of the exposition is the toys from the Kotovskiye Nevalyashki (Roly-Poly Dolls from Kotovsk) factory in the Tambov Region. This is the only specialised production facility in Russia that, since 2006, has been dedicated exclusively to making roly-poly toys, preserving the traditions of our Soviet childhood. Specially for the trade fair, the factory created a "Uzbek Girl" collection. The painting of the roly-poly dolls in this exclusive line features patterns of the Uzbek national costume. This simple yet bright and thoughtful image symbolises the commonality of cultures and traditions, as well as the centuries-old friendship between Russia and Uzbekistan, which is why the toys sell out instantly — both as an unusual souvenir and as a token of good neighbourly relations.

Sugar-powdered cranberries: a vitamin treasure from the Pskov forests

The sweet-and-sour delicacy from the Pskov Region is another bestseller at the Department Store stand. Popular in Russia, and now abroad, the sugar-powdered cranberries are made by hand. The berries, lovingly gathered in the environmentally clean forests of the North-West region, are coated in a crispy sweet shell. But the contrast of natural tartness and delicate sweetness is not only a gastronomic pleasure but also a health benefit: cranberries contain significant concentrations of vitamins C, A, and E.

Seafood chocolate from Primorye

The Primorye Territory surprises not so much with its seafood as with its chocolate. The largest confectionery producer in the Far East, Primorsky Konditer (Primorye Confectioner), is the only one in the region to process cocoa beans independently. Its confectionery products are made according to a 1967 recipe, but the main pride is chocolate with unique marine additives: seaweed, sea cucumber, and sea salt. Such combinations are unusual for Central Asia, so queues of those wanting to try "chocolate with the character of the ocean" literally form at the stand.

Gold-embroidered pillows from Torzhok

The Department Store offers pillows made by the brand Gorlitsa Art from Torzhok, the Tver Region. The city of Torzhok is famous for being a place where craft of gold embroidery was born. The brand’s workshop does not simply copy ancient patterns but reinterprets the tradition, combining hand embroidery with work on automatic sewing machines. Graduates of the Torzhok School of Gold Embroidery and local artists create items that simultaneously look luxurious, modern, and cosy. Unsurprisingly, the pillows are being bought both as decor and as testament to the revival of ancient crafts.

Herbal tea with Siberian character

Completing the top five is the herbal tea from the brand Konstanta from Khakassia. The dry tea blend consists of wild Siberian herbs, hand-picked in ecologically clean areas. Moreover, each blend is not only aromatic but also balanced in terms of health benefits: the company consults with biologists and pharmacists when creating the blends. Customers have already noted that in every cup of this tea, you can feel the power of the taiga and the care with which each herb was gathered, while the glass gift packaging adds a touch of elegance to the product.

Products with meaning as the centre of the exposition

Particular attention is deserved by a special collection that has become the conceptual centre of the entire exposition. This is merchandise featuring quotes from the President of Russia, Vladimir Putin, and the symbols of the National Centre RUSSIA. T-shirts, caps, and accessories not only look stylish. They carry important messages conveyed by our country — respect for history, openness to the world, and faith in the future. Simplicity, recognisability, and philosophical depth are the success formula of this collection.

The Department Store of the National Centre RUSSIA is being presented abroad for the first time at "INNOPROM. Central Asia". The stand brings together products from more than 50 domestic manufacturers from 39 regions of our country — from gastronomy to folk arts and crafts. All presented products can be not only examined but also purchased immediately.
