The National Centre RUSSIA hosted a presentation of the report "Shaping a New Platform for Global Growth" on June 16. This analytical document became the result of a large-scale international project — the Open Dialogue "The Future of the World. New Platform for Global Growth," organised by the National Centre RUSSIA with expert support from the Centre for Cross-Sectoral Expertise "Third Rome."

The event outlined the key meanings and message of the report. This document is an attempt to identify new guidelines for global development in conditions of rapid transformation of the world order. Its key feature is a human-centric approach and focus on the interests of Global Majority countries, which are increasingly setting the agenda for the future. Among the main themes: investments in human capital, in technology, in the environment and in connectivity as the foundation for sustainable and fair growth.

Director General of the National Centre RUSSIA Natalia Virtuozova emphasised the scale of the project and the need to continue the dialogue.

"We have come to the conclusion that the Open Dialogue is extremely in demand and necessary throughout the world. It will be continued in different formats and on different platforms. The first event to continue the project will be the session 'Shaping a New Platform for Global Growth' on June 18 within the framework of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum. Together with the best authors and experts of the Open Dialogue, we will discuss global trends in the world economy, as well as analyse how to turn the proposed concepts into working projects," said Director General of the National Centre RUSSIA Natalia Virtuozova.

Chief Editor of the report, Director of the Centre for Cross-Sectoral Expertise "Third Rome" Natalia Stapran noted that the document represents the "voice of the global majority".

"We proceeded from the understanding that global rules must change — and change in favour of people. The four tracks along which we collected opinions — human capital, technology, environment and connectivity — reflect the essence of the new agenda. It is particularly important that the term 'Global Majority countries' has been established in the report — this is not only BRICS, but also all states that make a real contribution to the new world order. They will be shaping the economy of the future. This report is not a finale, but the beginning of long and important work on rethinking global growth," emphasised Natalia Stapran.

The report presentation was also attended by Lucy Edwards Morgan — analyst and journalist from Switzerland, as well as essay authors: Naila Mehrabova, member of the Supervisory Board of Azersun Holding (Azerbaijan), Joseph Potvin, economist from Canada, and Yelizaveta Romanova, student at the Russian State Social University (Russia). The report and collection of essays will be published on the project portal: dialog.russia.ru.

The next step is an expert session within the framework of SPIEF 2025, which will take place on June 18. Its moderator will be Deputy Chief of Staff of the Executive Office of the President of the Russian Federation Maxim Oreshkin. Participants will be leading economists and thinkers from Russia, Spain, Brazil, Cameroon, Canada and other countries.

The Centre for Cross-Sectoral Expertise "Third Rome" was created by decision of the President of the Russian Federation at the end of 2024 on the basis of the Presidential Academy for expert support of the activities of the Executive Office of the President of the Russian Federation on issues of socio-economic development of the country. Scientific Director — Deputy Chief of Staff of the Executive Office of the President of the Russian Federation Maxim Oreshkin. Key areas of the Centre's expertise: macroeconomic policy and financing of economic growth, global economy and international institutions, preservation of the people, development of human potential and the labour market, technological development and sectoral economy, new forms of economic activity and digital transformation, spatial development, environment for life, effective government.
