FIDE master and two-time world champion Anna Shukhman held a simultaneous blitz chess session. In just an hour the girl beat more than 20 people, but still there was someone who managed to checkmate the champion.

The stand of the Orenburg region is unusually quiet, the spectators are tensely watching the girl Anya playing against four adults at once. In blitz it is important not only to make smart moves, but also to act quickly. Not more than 10 minutes are allotted for each game. Therefore, the chess player moves her pieces lightning fast, leaving her opponents in deep thought. A few minutes after the start of the game Anya is already being congratulated on her first victory, and the next checkmate is not far off either. One of the games ended literally in 10 moves.

"I lost to the world champion with great pleasure. I came from the Moscow region especially for this. I liked Anna very much, she is so clever and very modest! I would like to thank the Orenburg region for such an acquaintance", — Nikolay Zabolotsky shares his impressions.

During an hour the competitors change each other. The youngest participant — 12-year-old Artem Vishnyakov — holds up surprisingly well. But in the end Anna beats him as well: the young man confesses that he hasn’t played for a long time, otherwise he would have been able to show himself better.

Meanwhile, the session is coming to an end. The audience is convinced that no one will be able to compete with the champion. But then Aldar Indzhiev, a colleague from Kalmykia’s stand — a 1st category chess player — dropped in to visit the Orenburg residents. From the first glance at this serious young man of 23 it was clear that he would be able to puzzle Anna. And indeed — it is at his table that the chess player freezes for the longest time. In addition, fatigue begins to take its toll. In the end Aldar becomes the only one to checkmate the champion.

"Of course, it was difficult, the opponent is very strong, I was just lucky", — says the chess player modestly.

By the way, the guests of the exposition have a unique chance to beat Aldar himself. Every day from 11 to 17 he plays chess at his stand and will be glad to give a small master class for all fans of intellectual sport.
