Governor of the Tula region: over eight years, 60,000 families have received support measures
At the National Centre RUSSIA, the Governor of the Tula
Region, Dmitry Milyaev, met with residents and experts as part of the series
"Platform of the Future: Region-2030. 100 Steps". The main topic of
discussion was family support and the preservation of family traditions.
"The Tula region is a land of family happiness,"
said the governor.
According to Dmitry Milyaev, the demographic agenda is among the region’s key priorities today.
"The priority is the family, its support and
strengthening. National projects implemented across the country help regions to
build development strategies. For the Tula region, this means not only new
opportunities but also significant financial support," noted the governor.
Over the past eight years and eight months, more than 60,000
families in the region have benefited from government support measures. Among
the new initiatives is a one-off payment of 1 million roubles for ‘early
births’: the second child if the mother is under 25 and the third child if the
mother is under 28.
In addition, the region:
— provides monthly allowances for each child in large
families, regardless of income;
— has a programme for mortgage repayment of up to 1 million
roubles from federal and regional funds.
"Starting a family depends on many factors. But the
state must provide support so that young parents feel confident and are not
afraid to have children," stressed Dmitry Milyaev.
Meetings with governors are held as part of the large-scale
programme of the National Centre RUSSIA — "Platform of the Future:
Region-2030. 100 Steps". This programme aims to achieve national
development goals and improve citizens’ quality of life.
