"I am Russian. With this word in my heart": Sergei Yesenin will be read in a new way at the National Centre RUSSIA
Why is Yesenin still relevant today? How were his poems born, and why did his style change over time? Vyacheslav Zhuravlev, Director of the Sergei Yesenin State Museum-Reserve, will speak about this and more at the National Centre RUSSIA during the next meeting of the Literary Club "What to Read?!".
"I send you a heartfelt poetic greeting from the land of birch chintz and invite you to the meeting of the Literary Club dedicated to the 130th anniversary of the birth of our great Russian poet Sergei Alexandrovich Yesenin," said Vyacheslav Zhuravlev.
The meeting will take place on 23 September at 19:00. The moderator will be Alexei Chesnakov, Professor at the Higher School of Economics and author of the Telegram channel "Chesnakov. Library". Larisa Konstantinovna Alexeyeva, Head of the Department "Museum of the History of 20th Century Literature" at the State Museum of the History of Russian Literature named after V. I. Dahl, Candidate of Historical Sciences, curator of expositions and author of books on Sergei Yesenin and Vladimir Mayakovsky.
