"I am looking forward to the Open Dialogue: Leonard Landois on the future of human potential"
The key challenge of our time is not technology, but the human ability to make informed decisions and take responsibility for them. This view is shared by Open Dialogue essayist Leonard Landois from Germany. The expert will take part in the II Open Dialogue "The Future of the World. A New Platform for Global Growth", which will be held at the National Centre RUSSIA from 27 to 29 April.
"The main problem is not technology, but the ability to exercise judgement. When we create powerful systems, without this human quality we are at risk, because we lack the values that could guide them. And then we lose our sovereignty," Leonard Landois noted.
The event at the National Centre RUSSIA will bring together participants from all continents to discuss key trends in global development. This year, following interviews, 104 authors from 43 countries have advanced to the in-person stage of the Open Dialogue. The large-scale three-day programme will combine expert discussions, presentations by the authors of the best essays from all continents, and informal interaction.
The initiative is implemented by the National Centre RUSSIA in partnership with the Centre for Cross-Industry Expertise "Third Rome", with the support of the Presidential Executive Office of Russia. Registration for the II Open Dialogue "The Future of the World. A New Platform for Global Growth" is open until 26 April.
All episodes of the "OD on Air" podcasts, recorded during the January Expert Dialogues, have been posted on the website of the National Centre RUSSIA and major video hosting platforms.
Swiss analyst and journalist Lucy Morgan Edwards spoke at the presentation of the report "Shaping a New Platform for Global Growth".
Earlier, during the pitch session "Investments in Technology," Thiago Rudiger emphasized the importance of the Open Dialogue for global technological cooperation.
