A childhood toy in the urban landscape: architectural workshop at the National Centre RUSSIA
As part of
the new workshop by the National Centre RUSSIA, children and their parents will
be invited to imagine how one of the most beloved childhood toys – the rocking
horse – could be reimagined as part of an urban space.
The event
will take place on July 4 at 14:00. The workshop will be led by architect
Yelena Ganushkina, a member of the Union of Moscow Architects, Associate
Professor at the Department of Urban Planning of MIIGAiK and the Department of
Residential Buildings of Moscow Architectural Institute, as well as third-year
Architecture students of MIIGAiK Aleksandra Pudokhina, Yulia Kholova, and
Yekaterina Yegunova.
During the
practical session, participants will explore the use of colour, the idea of
contrast between colour and form, and ways in which small architectural objects
can be integrated into the city landscape.
The workshop "Toy for the City" is part of the educational programme of the exposition "The Birth of Scale."
Participation is free of charge
upon prior registration on the website russia.ru. Up-to-date information about
other events can be found in the "Events" section.
