Games of the Future and shurpa for four thousand people: Tatarstan at the RUSSIA EXPO
The
delegation of the Republic, headed by Rustam Minnikhanov, vividly showed the
successes the region is achieving in industry, agriculture, economy, medicine,

Regional
chefs managed to cook real shurpa for four thousand servings at once. For this
purpose the Tatar Samovar was installed and launched - it is a special culinary
equipment consisting of a round steel vat with a lid and a high pipe in the
center, a lower firebox for firewood and bright yellow brass parts. The vat is
about three meters high, has a volume of 1,200 liters and weighs 200
kilograms. During the day, 10 leading
chefs of the republic held master classes on cooking national dishes, including
festive goose, gubadiya, zur belisha, talkish kaleve and others.
Special
attention was paid to preparations for the first Games of the Future to be held
next year. This is a fundamentally new type of international competition that
combines real and virtual sports competitions. The most popular program for
tourists in the region, "Tatarstan - the Land of 1001 Pleasures", was
also presented on the platform of the RUSSIA EXPO.
"One
of the main tasks set by the President of the country is to achieve
technological sovereignty in basic industries and form a supply economy.
Tatarstan has all the conditions for active participation in its fulfillment.
First of all, this is an advanced research, development and industrial
production base", - Rustam Minnikhanov emphasized.
Guests of
the Exposition were able to learn a lot of new things within the educational
program: there were lectures on sports and Islamic finance, workshops on making
a Tatar headdress - tyubeteika, traditional leather souvenirs, Tatar folk
dances. Digital products created in Tatarstan were also introduced here.
Among the most significant cultural events of the Tatarstan Day were an excursion Visiting Gorky and Chaliapin, screening of a video about Tatarstan's achievements and Valdis Pelsh's movie Roads of Discovery. The Third Capital, presentation of a teaser of the cartoon Tugan Batyr about the Tatar fairy-tale hero, as well as a performance of a virtuoso harmonic musician - People's Artist Kiram Satiev.
The International RUSSIA EXPO is the most important achievements of the country gathered in one place. Throughout the entire time of the exposition, guests can expect cultural and entertainment events, a rich business and educational program. The expositions of 89 Russian regions, leading federal agencies, corporations and public organizations are presented to the visitors. The RUSSIA EXPO is held on the territory of VDNH in Moscow from November 4 to April 12.
The first event to be held at the Russia National Centre, which is being established by the order of President Vladimir Putin, will be the International Science Fiction Symposium and Exhibition "Inventing the Future". The symposium will take place from November 4 to 6.
Tomorrow, the International RUSSIA EXPO will conclude its work. From November 2023 to July 2024, it was visited by more than 18 million guests.
Every day, for eight months, the RUSSIA EXPO delighted guests and gave unforgettable emotions.
