Initiatives of regional NPOs were discussed at the RUSSIA EXPO
Inclusive
experience, development of children's sports, support for children with cancer,
ethno-immersion, hippotherapy and even the search for lost mushroom hunters -
social practices of regional NPOs were presented at the RUSSIA EXPO by
participants of the thematic forum.
"There
are many different socially-oriented NPOs in the Perm region. Today at our
stand we have NPO leaders in the sphere of inclusion, support for children with
cancer, development of children's sports. We are also presenting one more
project on child safety - it is one of the best in Russia. We talked to people,
introduced ourselves, shared our messages and initiatives. I represent an NPO
in the field of children's sports. It is unique in that through sports we pass
on moral and ethical values to children, such as respect, love for family and
Motherland," said Denis Gataulin, the head of the "Aikido
Dynasty" club and a member of the Civic Chamber of the Perm region.
At the
heart of any public organization or movement is an unresolved social problem,
and the first task is to organize a group of like-minded people, said Sergei
Shukhrin, commander of the search and rescue squad "Volunteer" from
the Nizhny Novgorod region:
"Next
task is to concentrate resources, knowledge and skills from different spheres.
The state is big, it can't handle everything. That is why it helps the
development of public organizations, where people try to solve a certain
problem within their community. And there comes a certain moment when public
organizations come to the state with the idea of solving this problem. Society
and the state should work in tandem".
At the
Exposition, the NPO "Volunteer" presented its activities, which are
both searching for missing people and prevention. "It is better to close
open sewer manholes than to retrieve a crippled person who fell there. We have
12 prevention areas, from first aid to safety at public events. We teach
mushroom hunters not to get lost in the forest and show them how to use a
compass correctly," said Sergei Shukhrin.
Aminat Shamsudinova, Director of ANO "Miraj" Development Center for Children with Special Developmental Needs and Disabilities of Childhood, introduced an unusual artist: "Today at the stand of the Republic of Dagestan at the RUSSIA EXPO we are presenting the exposition of a special artist, our pupil Arsen Hasanov - a child with mental disabilities. Exposition of works is divided into two parts: "Ethno-immersion" and "Dedication to Puppet Town". We consider our children to be very gifted. They just need help to open up and socialize. By the way, hippotherapy, of which I am an instructor, provides significant help to special children. Communication between a person and a horse is of great benefit".
