The foreign delegation praised Russia's cultural and gastronomic richness
The National Centre RUSSIA became a venue for cultural exchange, hosting a foreign delegation from Vietnam, Peru, Jordan, Zimbabwe, and other countries. The guests explored the richness of Russian culture, architecture, and gastronomy through a program that included tours of the architectural exposition "The Birth of Scale," the Gastronomic Rows, and the renovated Department Store.
"The Birth of Scale" exposition left a lasting impression on the delegates, who compared architectural traditions, innovations, and schools of architecture from different countries. In the Gastronomic Rows, they appreciated the diversity of Russian cuisine, represented by dishes from all over the country. The guests also highly valued the modern design and wide assortment of goods in the renovated Department Store, which features unique regional Russian brands.
"I came to Russia from Zimbabwe, which is in southern Africa. Visiting the centre was a true revelation for me. I gained a new perspective on Russian architecture and found it fascinating to examine antique furniture — it was especially captivating. I am very grateful for the hospitality — the Russian people were incredibly friendly, even though I hardly speak Russian," shared delegation member Jackie Gou.
"Russia is an incredible place. The nature here is stunning, and what is especially impressive is the effort to preserve it. We have learned so much and seen so many amazing things. I think this is something worth sharing with everyone. One must come here and see it all with their own eyes — the beauty of this country and its wonderful people. Thank you for the warm welcome, and we hope you will invite us again next time. This exposition is simply amazing. Young people must see it. I am convinced that it is very important," said Mogu Christopher, a delegate from Cameroon.
"The exposition is magnificent. Here, you can see the development of Russian architecture from its origins to the present day. I was especially impressed by the wooden architecture of churches and temples. I am glad I had the opportunity to visit. Ethiopia and Russia have long-standing close ties: we cooperate in education and medicine, and we have a Russian hospital in Addis Ababa. We gain a lot from this collaboration, and the experience acquired here is truly valuable," noted a representative from Ethiopia.
"The exposition is wonderful. We were fascinated to learn about Russian culture and see how the past, present, and future are intertwined here. I liked that in each architectural project, one can feel the contribution of society, its unity, and collective effort," shared one of the delegates about their visit to "The Birth of Scale."
The guests expressed their gratitude to the National Centre RUSSIA for the warm welcome and conveyed their desire to return to continue exploring Russia.
