The art of self-expression: how the carnival mask workshop unfolded
On January 8, the National Centre RUSSIA hosted a workshop on creating carnival masks. Participants immersed themselves in the creative process, designing masks that reflected their individuality.
Under the guidance of experienced artisans, guests enthusiastically crafted their masks, selecting colors and decorative elements according to their personal preferences. Everyone had the chance to express themselves through creativity and turn their ideas into finished pieces.
One of the participants, Tatyana Zakharova, remarked: "This New Year, I really wanted to start with creativity, and this workshop gave me that."
For many attendees, the workshop was an opportunity to step away from daily routines. "I hadn’t done any crafts in a long time, and it turns out it’s so calming and inspiring. It was fabulous!" shared Anastasia Khablo.
Young mother Yulia, who attended the event with her three-year-old daughter Stesha, added: "What we create with our own hands stays with us for a long time. We’ll look at this keepsake and remember New Year 2025 spent at the National Centre RUSSIA."
