"Every person is talented and unique": Alexei Chadov spoke about the power of charisma at the National Centre RUSSIA
The lecture "The Art of Charisma: Inspire, Impress, and Energize Everyone Around You" took place as part of the educational program of the final round of the All-Russian contest Znanie.Lecturer — the flagship project of the Russian society Znanie. The event is being held at the National Centre RUSSIA on February 4 and 5. The first day of the final was dedicated to professional seminars and meetings of the lecturers of the Russian society Znanie. A lecture on charisma by actor and director Alexei Chadov concluded Tuesday's events.
"You can discover anything within yourself. Every person has a talent for something. I've seen so many children come to auditions. They are not actors, but when you talk to them, you realize that each of them is special. This applies to everything. Talents need to be discovered within yourself, and you shouldn’t be afraid of it," Alexei Chadov began, greeting the audience.
The actor believes that charisma is a valuable quality in any field — whether in business, professional work, or even within the family. It must be developed by overcoming fear. According to Chadov, during four years at a theater institute, students go from an initial and overwhelming fear of public speaking to a desire to take the stage and express themselves. He considers the most "productive" period for young professionals in any industry to be between the ages of 17 and 35.
"You are not dependent on your family — you have left your parents and have not yet started your own. You are not dependent on your health — you are ready to do anything and work hard. And you are not dependent on time because you think you have plenty of it. At some point, I realized: why am I wasting energy on fear? I am a professional actor. I convinced myself that I am no longer afraid — I step onto the stage and enjoy it," the actor shared.
Alexei Chadov emphasized that the key to children's success is the faith of their parents and mentors.
"There will always be moments when you feel like giving up. You need to understand this, analyze it, move forward, and grow. If someone had told me at 15 that I would be writing scripts, I would have never believed it. It turns out, you can do anything — you just need to reach it and not be afraid. When I chose acting as a profession, many people said, 'Maybe you should pick a real job?' And I wondered — how am I going to live? Then I realized that this is my life, my passion," the actor said.
Speaking about cinema, Alexei Chadov noted that Russian films have gained new momentum in their development. Family-oriented movies, folk heroes, and films that foster empathy in the younger generation are growing in popularity. The actor and screenwriter is convinced that this is the right genre, making watching films in theaters with the whole family a unique form of leisure.
Alexei Chadov's upcoming project is the film "(Not) Artificial Intelligence." One of its scenes was filmed at the ATOM pavilion at VDNH in Moscow.
"Our film tells the story of how a soul can be placed into any inanimate object. That moment when artificial intelligence acquires that tiny part of 'not.' It begins to imitate humans, it enjoys living. It escapes from the big city to the countryside, to Kostroma," the director shared.
The adventure film is expected to be released in the fall and will appeal to audiences of all ages.
The large-scale "Journey Across Russia" project will launch at the National Centre RUSSIA on March 1.
