The Day of the Republic of Udmurtia is held at the RUSSIA EXPO on December 5. Esports basketball tournaments and fascinating master classes on VR-fencing were held for visitors. They were also told about the region’s achievements in industry, nuclear industry and other fields.

Olga Abramova, First Vice Prime Minister of the Republic of Udmurtia, noted that the region is interested in attracting new qualified personnel and is launching the "Work in Udmurtia" project. In addition, a huge part of efforts is aimed at supporting families with children.

"Within the framework of the demographic policy of the region in recent years, more than 50 kindergartens for five thousand children have been built, 17 schools for six thousand students have been put into operation, additional measures have been taken to support large families: these are both lump sum payments and hot meals. More than 230 thousand families of the Udmurt Republic have received targeted support from the Federal budget", — said Olga Abramova.

Creative workshops were prepared for the guests of the exposition. For example, on making stylized decorations and cooking national dishes. One of the main decorations of the Day of the Region is a marriage ceremony according to the traditions of the southern Udmurts.

It should be reminded that the International RUSSIA EXPO is open from Tuesday through Sunday, Monday is a technical day. The best time to visit is in the mornings and on weekdays, but the exposition is open to everyone on weekends as well. All expositions and events are free of charge.
