Kirov region will "bring to life" the Dymkovo toy at the exposition
The Kirov region’s exposition at the International RUSSIA EXPO will be decorated with dynamic figures of Pareiasaurus and the legendary Dymkovo toy — the barynya (the lady). A local company "Dinomashina" is already working on their production. This was reported by the first deputy chairman of the regional government Dmitry Kurdyumov.
"Now the working group approves the final design project of the stand and its concept. The official logo of the 650th anniversary of the city of Kirov will also be used for visualization", — Kurdyumov said.
Both symbols are directly related to the region. The famous Dymkovo craft appeared in the Dymkovo settlement on the territory of modern Kirov more than 400 years ago. Brightly colored toys were made of a mixture of clay and river sand and then painted.
And in 1933 hydrogeologist Sergey Kashtanov first found the skeleton of an ancient animal — Pareiasaurus — in the Kirov region, the Kotelniki site became one of the largest in the world.
