Komi will take guests of RUSSIA EXPO to places of power

Komi will take guests of RUSSIA EXPO to places of power
10.07.2023

The Republic of Komi offers unusual entertainment for the guests of its stand at the International RUSSIA EXPO.

The republic is ready to take everyone who wishes to a virtual tour to places of power.

"In the VR-room we will organize mini-tours to the coolest locations in the republic: to the Manpupuner plateau which is the seventh wonder of Russia, to the polar city of Vorkuta and to the Yunyaginsky coal pit, the first world’s opencast coal mine in the Arctic. These extreme tours will be a really exciting attraction. Such as when "flying" to Manaraga mountain the traveler will get close to a mother-bear with its cub", — told TASS Alexander Terentyev, the head of the Agency for tourism development and promotion of the Republic of Komi.

In addition, the key object of the stand will be a pine symbolizing the unity of the residents with nature. Nearby, visitors will see a house demonstrating the elements of both modern technologies and centuries-old homemaking traditions in the North.

Using touch-panels in one of the rooms of the house, guests will be able to find out their totem animal according to the ancient Komi fishing calendar, compose a phrase using passes (ancestral symbols or Komi-language pictograms) and get a souvenir as a gift. And here they can also "touch" the Yarega "gold", high-viscosity oil.

Beauty of the Republic of Komi in different seasons will be demonstrated on huge LED-panels as well as the main achievements of the region, such as designed and constructed healthcare facilities, the strategic bridge across the Pechora river, a new stadium in Syktyvkar and many others.

Apart from exposition, a diverse business program, a range of educational and cultural activities and a fairground are also planned.
