Concerts, food courts, workshops: what the end of September has prepared for Vladivostok
From 26 to
28 September, residents and guests of Vladivostok will have eventful days. A
festival "Seaside Monsoon", a concert "Pacific Marches", a
"Drone Race" and the "Tiger Day" will be held in the city's
downtown. A press conference, where the organizers of the events shared its
details, was held at the National Centre RUSSIA branch in the Primorye region.
"Seaside Monsoons"
Vitaly Stanislavchuk, Deputy Director of the Primorye region
Tourist Information Centre, presented the third annual festival "Seaside
Monsoon", which will be held from 26 to 28 September on the Sports Harbor
embankment.
The festival, dedicated to the cultural ties between Russia
and Asia, will bring together all the gastronomic festivals of this year.
Guests will be able to taste dishes made from candle fish, flatfish, scallop,
honey, and more.
The creative quarter "Grani Millionki", which is
going to re-create the spirit of old Vladivostok with its Asian flavor,
promises to delight the visitors with this special atmosphere.
An immersive trolleybus will be a bright venue at the
festival, where guests will hear the voice of the city through headphones —
from the noise of the sea and the taiga to the music that sounded in
Vladivostok in different eras: from ancient romances to modern K-POP hits.
This year, there will be a platform dedicated to the Russian
language. The idea came about thanks to the interactive display "The Great
and Mighty Russian Language" located at the National Centre RUSSIA in
Primorye. Calligraphy lessons, which have aroused great interest in the guests
in the past, will also be held again.
Skateboarding competitions in the jam session format will be
held next to the National Centre RUSSIA branch in Primorye on 27 September.
On 27 September, a big concert programme will be held. From
11:30, local and Far Eastern bands will perform on stage, including the band
"April" from Khabarovsk. The event's headliner will be the Russian
rock band "The Hatters". There will also be a separate hour dedicated
to Viktor Tsoi songs. The concert will end by 22:00.
The Tiger Day
Sergei Aramilev, Director General of the Amur Tiger Centre,
revealed the details of the celebration, which will take place on 28 September.
Guests will enjoy a rich programme at several local venues,
where educational and entertainment activities dedicated to the conservation of
the Amur tiger population will be organized.
The "Tiger March" will march from the National
Centre RUSSIA in Primorye to the fountain. Costumes and chants will be
evaluated by a jury, and winners will be awarder with prizes.
There will also be a concert programme featuring popular
artists, including the band "White Eagle". The band "Bravo"
will be a headliner.
The Festival "Pacific Marches"
Mikhail Polusmak, Director of "Creative Industries of
the Far East", LLC, spoke about the "Pacific Marches" Brass Band
Festival, the first in the history of Primorye.
The concerts will be held from 23 to 28 September, covering
four coastal cities. On 23 September, at 17:00 — there will be a concert on the
central square in the city of Ussuriysk. On 24 September, at 18:00 — a concert
on the embankment of the Salt Lake in the city of Nakhodka. On 25 September, at
18:00 — a concert on the square in front of the Palace of Culture of Coal
miners in the city of Artyom.
The Festival will end on 27 September with a large-scale
platz-concert on the central square of Vladivostok at 18:00. The Central
Military Orchestra of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation will
take part in it. Also on this day, from 12:00, orchestras will perform in parks
and squares of Vladivostok.
The "Drone race" at Dynamo Stadium
Vladimir Motorin, Deputy Chairman of the Council of Veterans
of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia in Vladivostok, Deputy Chairman
of the Primorye Regional Military-Patriotic Public Organization
"Patriot" Military Sports Club named after Hero of the Russian
Federation A.A. Ivanov", told about a series of events dedicated to the
80th anniversary of the end of World War II and the Days of Peace in the
Pacific Ocean. ".
He announced the competition of UAV operators "Drone Race for Dynamo", which will be held on 27 September at 12:00. The purpose of the event is to develop technical creativity and foster patriotism among young people.
The September weekend in Vladivostok promises to be a time
of vivid impressions for residents and visitors of the city. This year, the
National Centre RUSSIA in the Primorye region adds its own events to an intense
programme of festivals, and awaits guests to give them guided tours of the expositions
that show the region in all its facets.
Everyone can take guided tours at the Centre for free. To have a tour, you need to register on the website of the National Centre RUSSIA in the Primorye region and choose a convenient date and time. Guided tours run daily, except Mondays, from 10:00 to 20:00. Groups are formed of up to 15 people, with the programme lasting 90 minutes. You can join without prior registration if there are available places. However, it is better to register beforehand, to make sure you will have a place in a group reserved for you.
