The regional administration has established an organizing committee to prepare for the exposition presenting the achievements of the region.

At the EXPO the Kostroma region plans to showcase its achievements in industry and agriculture as well as the innovations in social, jewelry and tourism sectors.

"We are planning an extensive educational, cultural and business program for the guests. Taking into account the economic, historical and cultural peculiarities of the region the participants of the event are preparing their proposals that will become the basis of the overall concept for the exposition. We also plan to hold a series of gastronomic activities named „National Hospitality Days“ at the EXPO. A separate area will be allocated for this purpose", — stated the press-office of the regional administration.

The Kostroma region is famous for its cheese, linen and birch bark products, articles of silver and gold. The regional center, Kostroma is called the jewelry capital of the country and a pearl of the tourist route "Golden ring of Russia".
