Crab, commander squid, cloudberries, and reindeer lichen: what to expect at the "Journey Across Russia. Food"
The large-scale "Journey Across Russia" project will launch at the National Centre RUSSIA on March 1. Visitors will explore the natural landmarks and economic achievements of the federal districts of our country.
A special section will feature the "Journey Across Russia. Food" space, divided into four corners: "East," "North," "West," and "South." Guests of the National Centre RUSSIA will have the opportunity to taste a variety of dishes from the national cuisines of Russia.
Each corner will showcase the gastronomic highlights of Russia's tourist regions, the most popular festival dishes, traditional national foods, delicacies with history, and innovative recipes. The extensive menu will offer breakfasts, lunches, desserts, tastings, culinary workshops under the theme "Learning Russia's Culinary Language," and festivals.
The first dishes presented in the gastronomic space will feature Far Eastern and Arctic cuisines of Russia. In the "East" corner, guests will be offered crab claw with creamy pink salmon roe sauce, Far Eastern chebureki with commander squid, crab dumplings, taiga drinks made from wild Far Eastern plants, and much more.
In the "North" corner, visitors will be served kalya, an old Russian soup made with pickled cucumber brine, as well as pomakuha made from halibut, and lemonades made from northern cloudberries and lingonberries.
The meeting "Literary Club. Paradoxes of the Fantastic and the Real," dedicated to science fiction, was held on February 20 at the National Centre RUSSIA.
On March 1, the National Centre RUSSIA will host the opening of the "Birth of Scale" exposition, dedicated to Russian architecture and urban planners.
