This spring, the National Centre RUSSIA is launching large-scale new projects. Starting March 5, visitors will be able to explore the main landmarks and achievements of all federal districts of the country at the interactive exposition "Journey Across Russia." Meanwhile, on March 1, "The Birth of Scale" exposition will open, showcasing Russia's greatness through its architectural legacy.

As part of the interactive exposition "Journey Across Russia," visitors will embark on an expedition across the entire country. All federal districts will present key achievements, innovative developments, as well as cultural, natural, and historical landmarks. The project will combine an exposition space, Gastronomic Rows, educational events, and special programs.

"In just an hour and a half, our guests will be able to travel across our vast country — from the Pacific coast to the Baltic — passing through all eight territories that correspond to the federal districts of our nation. Visitors will have the chance to observe Greenland whales through special binoscopes, visit the Vostochny Cosmodrome, take a photo with an Amur tiger, stay at a Siberian hotel made of wooden logs, meet the Mistress of the Copper Mountain, watch a movie in the back of a real KAMAZ truck, see an icebreaker and the northern lights, and even attend a premiere at the renowned Mariinsky Theatre. The journey will conclude in the 'Heart Zone,' where guests can leave their impressions on an interactive postcard that will be preserved in the history of the National Centre RUSSIA," said Andrei Kudelin, producer of the "Journey Across Russia" project.

A unique section of the exposition will be the Gastronomic Rows "Journey Across Russia. Food," divided into four thematic zones — North, East, West, and South. Starting March 1, visitors will embark on a culinary journey through the regions, discovering a variety of dishes, a special children's menu, and much more.

"Kalya, kurze, byoregi, tala from nelma, Kamchatka-style telnoye — sometimes these names sound like a foreign language. But in reality, they are all part of Russia’s rich and diverse culinary heritage. We will introduce guests to the culinary traditions and unique flavors of different regions, host master classes and culinary performances under the unified concept 'Learning Russia’s Culinary Language,' and showcase the best gastronomic projects and festivals from across the country. In my opinion, the best way to start a gastronomic journey through Russia is right here, at the National Centre RUSSIA — where visitors can explore and taste everything for the first time before seeking out their favorite dishes in their original regions," said Yekaterina Shapovalova, author of the "Gastronomic Map of Russia" project.

The architectural exposition "The Birth of Scale" opens on March 1, offering guests insight into the craftsmanship of ancient Rus’ architects, the tools used by modern builders, and the surprising journey of Russian skyscrapers to America. The exposition is divided into thematic modules, each revealing a unique aspect of architecture through models, video materials, and installations. A special section will explore the connection between architecture and art. Additionally, a creative module — children’s architectural workshops — will allow young visitors to design their own cities of the future.

"When journalists in the 1960s asked students of the architecture institute, 'What kind of building would you like to create?' the answer was always the same — 'I want to build a City.' Back then, we thought on an entirely different scale, with a sense of expanding movement. We ventured into space, mastered vast territories, and built the world's largest nuclear icebreaker. It wasn’t just about conquering space; it was about conquering dimensions as a whole. That was an incredibly powerful movement. And "The Birth of Scale" exposition is precisely about that movement of the soul — about the scale of the soul," said architect and chief curator of "The Birth of Scale" exposition, Andrei Chernikhov.

Both "Journey Across Russia" and "The Birth of Scale" expositions are free to visit. Guests can register for guided tours on the website russia.ru, at the information desk in the National Centre RUSSIA, or explore the expositions independently on a first-come, first-served basis.
