The legendary Alexandrov Ensemble to present evening of remembrance to guests of the National Centre RUSSIA
The living legend — the Academic Song and Dance Ensemble of the Russian Army named after A.V. Alexandrov will perform at the National Centre RUSSIA on May 23.
The concert program "Let Us Bow to Those Great Years..." will be dedicated to the jubilee year of the Great Victory. Works from the "golden fund" of the outstanding national ensemble will be performed at the National Centre RUSSIA. The audience will hear the most famous songs about wartime, such as "Sacred War," "Cranes," "Smuglyanka," "Victory Day" and others
A unique cultural phenomenon of our country — the Twice Red Banner, Order of the Red Star Academic Song and Dance Ensemble of the Russian Army named after A.V. Alexandrov — is the world's first army song and dance ensemble, created by the outstanding choirmaster and composer, professor of the Moscow Conservatory, Major General Alexander Alexandrov. Military song and dance ensembles in different countries around the world were created following its model. This autumn, the ensemble will celebrate 97 years since its establishment.
The mission of the collective, as well as of the hosting space of the National Centre RUSSIA, is to educate generations in the spirit of patriotism and love for the Motherland through musical and literary enlightenment.
The head of the ensemble — artistic director, Honoured Artist of Russia, professor of the V.S. Popov Academy of Choral Art, Colonel Gennady Sachenyuk.
