This image has long been a part of folklore, and ancient Russian texts preserve fascinating legends about its qualities. Lions were often depicted in church frescoes and sculptures crafted by artists of the past.

From January 1 to January 3, the Centre will be closed to visitors. Starting January 4, it will resume its standard schedule: Tuesday to Sunday, from 10:00 to 20:00.
