The lion that inspires: the National Centre RUSSIA branded goods at the Department Store
The main symbol of the National Centre RUSSIA — a lion embodying the revival of national culture — not only attracts the attention of visitors but also inspires artisans from various regions to create new designs for familiar products.
The image of the golden lion adorns artisan honey gingerbread from Udmurtia. These are not just treats but authentic branded gingerbread of the National Centre. The producer, Yung’s Apiary, sold out the first batch in just two days, so popular were the lion-themed gingerbread among the Department Store’s customers.
Equally appealing are the Pokrov gingerbread cookies featuring the symbol of the National Centre, crafted in the Vladimir region. The region had already gained fame at the RUSSIA EXPO by presenting the largest gingerbread in the country, measuring 2x3 meters and weighing nearly 200 kilograms. A distinctive feature of the Pokrov gingerbread, now a true gastronomic brand of the Vladimir region, is its unique blend of spices and seasonings.
The main symbol of the National Centre is represented not only in confectionery but also in other Department Store products. For instance, the "Lion" glass, produced in the capital, catches the eye with its unusual shape and vibrant logo, applied by hand. In addition to glasses featuring the lion, the artisan collection includes tableware depicting Baba Yaga, Zmey Gorynych, the turnip, and the geese-swans. The creator of this distinctive collection is the Moscow ceramics brand Lukomorye.
The Department Store space at the National Centre RUSSIA is a hub of unique products and folk art crafts from across the country. Here, visitors can find artisan jewelry and souvenirs, confectionery, home textiles, tableware, and much more. The National Centre RUSSIA welcomes guests every day except Monday, from 10:00 to 20:00.
