The model of the future building of the National Centre RUSSIA awaits visitors
The model
of the future building of the National Centre RUSSIA is now on display in the
foyer of the Concert Hall (Pavilion No. 3, first floor) of the National Centre
RUSSIA.
The concept
of the new Centre is designed in a bionic style and reflects the country’s
multifaceted visual image. The shape of the building evokes its natural
landscapes, and its silhouette resembles drifting snow and vast open spaces.
The
building’s horizontal lines will vividly contrast with the verticals of Moscow
City, standing out through their organic fluidity and dynamic form.
The
National Centre RUSSIA will become one of the country’s main public spaces — a
new landmark of the nation and its capital. Alongside exposition areas (60,000
sq. m), the complex will include a concert hall with transformable seating and
stage, a media centre, and a youth creative cluster. The project also features
a congress centre, spaces for business meetings and networking, as well as
gastronomic areas.
A standout
feature of the project is the multimedia facade, which will adapt to current
events: from state symbols on national holidays to themed art installations
during cultural events.
At present,
engineering surveys and preparatory work are underway at the site, aimed at
preserving part of the Expocentre buildings and ensuring their operation until
the construction of the National Centre RUSSIA is complete. The full completion
of the project is scheduled for 2029.
On July 7,
the model of the new building was unveiled to the public in the presence of
First Deputy Chief of Staff of the Presidential Executive Office of Russia
Sergei Kiriyenko and Mayor of Moscow Sergei Sobyanin.
All those
interested can now explore the future appearance of the National Centre RUSSIA
in detail. The model is available for viewing daily, except Mondays, from 10:00
to 20:00 in the foyer of the Concert Hall (Pavilion No. 3).
The unique book "Architecture. The Birth of Scale" was published following the large-scale architectural exposition "The Birth of Scale" held by the National Centre RUSSIA.
