Malinovoye Lake and the world's most beautiful route: the amazing Altai region at the RUSSIA EXPO
Finding the Altai region stand in Pavilion No. 75 is quite easy. It is located in Hall B, in the Siberian Federal District zone. The exposition introduces guests to the region's achievements and highlights its key attractions.
Pristine ecology and incredible nature are perhaps the first things that come to mind when thinking of "Altai". It's no wonder that agriculture is so well-developed here, and the region's motto is: "Altai Region — Everything Genuine!" Visitors can see the bounties of Altai's land: wheat, rye, buckwheat and even grind grain into flour using millstones.
The pavilion floor is adorned with rivers, another treasure of the Altai region: the Katun and Biya rivers merge to form the Ob, the region's main water artery, on which Barnaul is founded.
In the industry section, visitors can see a modern optical sorter in action, which cleans wheat and buckwheat from debris. This unique optical equipment, developed in the Altai region, not only sorts bulk products but also plays melodies.
The region's exposition will surely inspire a trip to the Altai region. Nature and outdoor enthusiasts will particularly enjoy this journey. Be sure to visit Ikonnikov Island, where the Ob begins, to see the boundary between water streams: the turquoise Katun meets the bright blue Biya. On a warm, clear day, the surrounding landscapes resemble the magical forests of the fairytale land of Narnia.
Additionally, tourists come to Altai to see the amazing Malinovoye (Raspberry) Lake and the Tavdinsky Caves, which are beloved by tourists for their accessibility, requiring no special equipment or preparation for the walk. For those traveling by car, the main recommendation is the Chuya Highway, one of the most famous roads not only in Russia but also in the world. National Geographic included it in the top ten most beautiful routes in the world, as it passes through many of the region's most stunning attractions.
The exposition features over 250 artworks in various techniques.
