Mighty Baikal and advanced enterprises: the Irkutsk region presented itself at the RUSSIA EXPO
New large
enterprises, a fully Russian airplane and a chance to see the great lake. The
Irkutsk region held the Day of the Region at the RUSSIA EXPO and talked about
the rapid pace of development.
The region
paid special attention to industry and science. For example, in six years,
eight large important medical enterprises have started working there. They
produce test strips for determining sugar levels, pharmaceutical substances and
much more.
And the
Irkutsk Aircraft Plant is building the newest passenger airplane MC-21. It is
fully equipped with components manufactured solely in Russia. Even the engine
is our own. It is planned to start serial production of such aircraft in 2025.
In addition, in just two years the region has built an enterprise to develop
the Kovykta gas condensate field.
The real
pearl of the region - Lake Baikal - was also mentioned. A trip to this
beautiful natural wonder was raffled off among the visitors of the exposition.
"Thanks
to the support of the Head of State, 12 national projects are being implemented
in the region; as a result, more than 700 social and engineering infrastructure
facilities have been built and repaired since 2020," - said the Governor of
the Irkutsk region Igor Kobzev.
The guests
of the Irkutsk stand were shown national costumes took part in other events,
including a gastronomic festival. It presented appetizing specialties of the
local cuisine.
The topic of the competition essay should relate to the content of the Expert Report based on the intellectual work of the participants of the II Open Dialogue.
The six most active participating regions also include Moscow, the Moscow Region, the Krasnoyarsk Territory, the Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Area – Yugra and the Primorye Territory.
The dolls have been specially produced for the festival and will be presented as commemorative gifts to every couple.
