Music of Madagascar at "Intervision": Denise & D-Lain duo to perform thirteenth

Representatives of Madagascar will perform under number thirteen at the International Music Contest "Intervision". The country is represented by the duo Denise and D-Lain, who already have notable achievements on the music scene of their homeland.

"Russia is a very large and hospitable country. We were especially impressed by how much culture is valued here. As for our performance, at first we were worried that we might get number one — performing first is a bit frightening. So we are very glad that we got number thirteen," said Denise.

"I think number thirteen is also strategically advantageous. When you perform thirteenth, about ten contestants go before you, and this allows you to be roughly in the middle of the programme," added D-Lain.

Singer Denise won the "Talents of the Island Africa" contest in 2014 and signed a contract with Universal Music, choosing a major tour across Africa over international tours. D-Lain, a well-known gospel vocalist, was awarded the title of the best performer in his country in 2009, and in 2012 he won the Castel Live Opera contest, surpassing representatives of eight African states.

The final of "Intervision-2025" will take place on 20 September in Moscow at the Live Arena venue.
