A forum on improving labour productivity will take place on 19 May at the National Centre RUSSIA in Krasnoyarsk. The event will bring together parliamentarians, representatives of relevant federal executive authorities, and major businesses implementing labour productivity improvement mechanisms. Participants will discuss the goals and objectives of sectoral programmes, as well as the practice of their implementation at both regional and federal levels.

Improving labour productivity is vital in the context of Russia's rapidly developing economy and technologies. Since January 2025, the federal project "Labour Productivity" has been implemented across the country as part of the national project "Efficient and Competitive Economy". The initiative is aimed at increasing the efficiency of business and the social sector through the introduction of lean production methods, optimisation of business processes and staff training. By order of President of Russia Vladimir Putin, the project is expected to cover 40 percent of medium-sized and large enterprises in key non-resource sectors of the economy, as well as all state and municipal organisations in the social sphere.

The key event of the forum will be a plenary session dedicated to labour productivity issues in the Russian Federation. Presentations will be delivered by Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Alexander Novak, Minister of Economic Development of the Russian Federation Maxim Reshetnikov, Deputy Minister of Energy of the Russian Federation Yevgeny Grabchak, Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation Mikhail Yurin, Governor of the Krasnoyarsk Territory Mikhail Kotyukov and Governor of the Altai Territory Viktor Tomenko.

The results achieved within the framework of the federal project will be presented by Andrei Ryumin, Chairman of the Management Board of Rosseti; Nikolai Utkin, First Vice President and Head of Government Relations at MMC Norilsk Nickel; Sergei Nazarov, Director of the Production System at SIBUR; Ivan Mikhin, Director of the Aluminium Division at RUSAL; Yevgeny Yevtushenko, Director General of SUEK Krasnoyarsk; and Sergei Machekhin, Deputy Director General of PJSC "RusHydro".

In addition, the forum's business programme will include sector-specific round tables on strategically important areas such as industry, energy, transport, healthcare and education.

The forum is organised by the Government of the Russian Federation, the Ministry of Economic Development of the Russian Federation, the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation, the Ministry of Energy of the Russian Federation, the Government of the Krasnoyarsk Territory and the National Centre RUSSIA.
