Visitors had the opportunity to get autographs and take photos with legendary champions, who also conducted a series of general development exercises for all attendees.
Renowned regional athletes participated in the ceremonial opening of the sports celebration: Anna Bychkova, Master of Sports of Russia, member of the national paratriathlon team and Paralympic Games participant; Andrei Ashchev, International Master of Sports of Russia, two-time European volleyball champion and Olympic Games participant; and Ruslan Kishmakhov, Honored Master of Sports of Russia in judo and sambo, world champion and Olympic Games participant.
All attendees were able to get autographs and take photos with these legendary champions, who also conducted a series of general development exercises. Ruslan Kishmakhov then led an energetic workout session for the young visitors of VDNH.
A significant part of the program was the signing of cooperation agreements between the Ministry of Physical Culture and Sport of the Stavropol region and the Russian Paralympic Committee, as well as the All-Russian Volleyball Federation.
One important aspect of the relationship with the Russian Paralympic Committee is the upcoming interregional stage of the SMO Cup in Stavropol in August. Athletes from the Southern Federal District, North Caucasus Federal District and new territories will compete for medals in archery, shooting, arm wrestling, sitting volleyball and bench press. All events are adapted for athletes with disabilities.
The highlight of the day was the drawing of family passes for visiting regional sports complexes.
Throughout the day, visitors to the stand could participate in a sports quiz, compete in board games and learn more about the sporting glory of Stavropol through informational touch panels. The racing simulator presented by the Movement of the First drew particular excitement from the visitors.
