Thematic National Priorities Day "Sport" was held at the Moscow region stand

The Moscow region stand hosted presentations of professional sports societies and sports schools of the region: Zvezda handball club, Dynamo-Elektrostal field hockey team, VVA-Podmoskovye rugby club, as well as sports schools for hockey, track and field, boxing, summer sports, Olympic reserve school No. 3 and sports school No. 5 "Master-Saturn".

During the presentations, athletes and representatives of the Moscow region teams spoke to the stand visitors about their sports and clubs, and held masterclasses in fencing, freestyle football, acrobatic rock 'n' roll, discus throwing, shot put, ice hockey, field hockey, handball, rugby, boxing and laser pistol shooting. After the masterclasses, anyone could get an autograph and take a photo with the athletes and coaches, and young sports fans could meet Lipa, the official mascot of the Zvezda handball club.

Also, on the Moscow region platform representatives of the young technicians' house "Integral" from the Khimki urban district told about the section of sports drone piloting and the prospects of the children's center for training in UAV control. All guests were able to examine and study the drones exhibited during the presentation.

"Today at the RUSSIA EXPO, along with traditional sports, a new discipline "drone racing" was presented. Competitions in this very young sport were included in the program of the recent Games of the Future in Kazan. Of course, we see the growing popularity of esports, phygital sports, including drone racing. We will pay a lot of attention to them," said Alexei Perov, head of the regional Ministry of Sports.

An open platform of mutual support for mothers whose children love football functioned at the stand. The founders of the "Football moms" project spoke in detail about the initiative and showed thematic videos.

It should be noted that during the Sports Day the stand of the Moscow region hosted sports quizzes with memorable prizes from the Ministry of Physical Culture and Sports of the Moscow region. In addition, throughout the day the stand screens showed videos about sports projects implemented in the Moscow region and athletes representing the region.
