375 years of the housing and utilities sector were celebrated at the RUSSIA EXPO
On April 11, the International RUSSIA EXPO held a festive event
dedicated to the 375th anniversary of the country's housing and utilities
sector. The stage of the large conference hall of Pavilion No. 75 hosted
congratulatory speeches of the industry leaders, as well as awarding of
employees of the housing and utilities sector and a large festive concert.
"It is no coincidence that the holiday is held at VDNH - after all,
it is here that the major achievements of both the construction complex and
housing and utilities sector are presented at the grand RUSSIA EXPO. Although
there are still enough problems in the housing and utilities sector, we see
positive changes. New mechanisms are emerging that are aimed at developing the
industry at a faster pace and introducing modern technologies. The President
has set a task to increase the pace and volume of modernization of the communal
infrastructure. For this purpose, several tools are working effectively in the
regions of the country, including support from the federal budget,
infrastructure budget and special treasury loans. Active work has been deployed
on restoration and construction in new territories. Much has already been done,
but there are still many tasks to be solved. I am confident that we will cope
with them. After all, the main result of this work is the improvement of the
quality of life of millions of Russians," Deputy Prime Minister of the
Russian Federation Marat Khusnullin emphasized in his congratulatory message
via video conference call.
The housing and utilities sector has existed since 1649 starting with
the decree of Tsar Alexei Mikhailovich Romanov. According to this document, an
order was formed, something that is now called a ministry, which was to oversee
the observance of "the rules of stoking stoves in houses and baths, as
well as the maintenance of households."
"The housing and utilities complex is one of the most important components of the national economy and a paramount basis for people's livelihood, covering virtually all spheres: housing, industry and engineering communications. In this area of activity, the Ministry of Construction of Russia is taking the necessary steps to solve the tasks set before us by the country's authorities. This is to improve the quality of services provided, to upgrade the communal infrastructure, and, most importantly, to ensure the balance of the housing and utilities sector," said Irek Faizullin, Minister of Construction, Housing and Utilities of the Russian Federation, in his congratulatory address to the gathered employees of the industry.
In addition, the Chairman of the Public Council under the Ministry of Construction, Housing and Utilities of the Russian Federation, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Public Law Company "Territory Development Fund" Sergei Stepashin, Deputy Chairman of the Committee on Construction, Housing and Utilities of the State Duma Svetlana Razvorotneva, Head of the Central Executive Committee, Deputy Secretary of the General Council of the All-Russian political party "United Russia" Alexander Sidyakin and Chairman of the Russian Trade Union of the Life Support Enterprises Workers Alexander Vasilevskiy congratulated the employees of the housing and utilities sector on this memorable date.
