On the Day of the Arkhangelsk region at the International RUSSIA EXPO at VDNH a concert program Harmonious Russia took place, where famous musicians of the region demonstrated their skills.
The interregional festival of national cultures with the same name, popularizing a unique instrument - the accordion, within a few years has become a real trademark of the Arkhangelsk region: it has been held in the capital of the Pomorye region every summer since 2020 and is timed to coincide with the Day of Russia.
The festival was presented at VDNH together with another project of cultural significance in the Arkhangelsk region, Costume of the Russian North, which brings together modern fashion designers and craftsmen of the region who preserve the traditions of the North and skillfully use traditional elements of arts and crafts in their collections.
The unique collections were presented to traditional tunes played by accordion virtuosos, laureates of Russian and international competitions Sergey Gromov, Arseny Sinyushkin, Bogdan Razumov, Maria Nechaeva, Mikhail Okulovsky, Maxim Ryabov, Sergey Danilov, Vladimir Serebrennikov.
The guests of the exposition saw the works created by Valentina Kharitonova, a master of folk arts and crafts of the Arkhangelsk region, Elena Marasanova, as well as the best collections of the Arkhangelsk fashion designer Nikolai Teryukhin.
Such a creative collaboration of musicians and costume masters allowed to create an unforgettable atmosphere.
"For me and my colleagues this trip is significant, because it is one thing to just perform and quite another to represent the Arkhangelsk region at the highest level. Our stand and our performance were seen by the residents of the capital and many other people living in different parts of our country. We selected the material specially for our presentation at this forum. And I hope we were able to tell all the visitors of VDNH how wonderful our Arkhangelsk region is," shared his impressions Sergey Gromov, accordion player, artistic director of the folk song, music and dance ensemble Severyanka named after A.N. Khlyntsev.
