Jubilarians of married life - BAM construction workers - were congratulated at the RUSSIA EXPO
On the Day
of the Far East and the Arctic, the RUSSIA EXPO congratulated couples who met
during the construction of the Baikal-Amur Mainline and have been living
together for 45 years.
"Russian
President Vladimir Putin has declared 2024 the Year of the Family. Yesterday it
was opened at the RUSSIA EXPO with the All-Russian Family Forum Dear - Loved
Ones. Our meeting, our holiday takes place in the days of the Far East and the
Arctic and is dedicated to honoring the jubilarians of married life - builders of
the Baikal-Amur Mainline," emphasized Natalia Tomilova, head of the Amur
Region Civil Registry Office.
At the
ceremony of honoring the jubilarians of married life were present two families,
who in 2024 will celebrate the sapphire wedding (45 years of marriage):
Vladimir Pavlovich and Ramilya Fitratovna Stenin, and Sergey Georgievich and
Lyudmila Vladimirovna Mukhopad.
The Stenins
met in the village of Larba in the Amur region. During the day the young people
worked, and in the evening went to dances. There Vladimir Pavlovich and Ramilya
Fitratovna met. It was love at first sight. Ramilya worked in the canteen,
washed dishes until 12 at night, and Vladimir waited for his beloved on his
motorcycle every evening. Three months after their acquaintance they got
married. The couple raised three children: daughters Lilia and Lyubov, and son
Nikolai, who continued the tradition of his parents and now works at BAM as a
railroader. The total labor experience of the Stenins is 92 years. The spouses
have been awarded the medal "For the Construction of the Baikal-Amur
Mainline", the public medal "For Love and Fidelity", and many
other awards. But the main pride of the family is three children and three
grandchildren.
Sergey Georgievich and Lyudmila Vladimirovna Mukhopad met in the city of Tynda on an improvised dance floor. A square near the dormitory and a tape recorder put out the window - that was all the dancing. It was love at first sight and for life. The couple raised and educated three children: daughter Tatiana, sons Alexander and Andrey. All children created their own families and now the jubilarians help to bring up six grandchildren. For more than 40 years the Mukhopad family has been an example of kindness and decency, a keeper of family values, warm feelings and loyalty for children, grandchildren and friends. In 2020, the couple was awarded the public medal "For Love and Fidelity".
On January 23, a solemn ceremony to launch the Year of the Family was held at the RUSSIA EXPO as part of the Dear - Loved Ones forum. It was launched by President Vladimir Putin.
More than one hundred representatives from 48 countries gathered in Moscow, at the National Centre RUSSIA, for the Open Dialogue "The Future of the World.
Young tour guides participated in another session of the School of Young Tour Guides.
On April 27, a children's workshop titled "Sugar City" was held in the art class of the architectural exposition "The Birth of Scale" at the National Centre RUSSIA.
