The RUSSIA EXPO hosted a presentation of the movie "The Fiery Fox", which was filmed for three years in Kamchatka. The guests were shown the trailer and some episodes from the movie.

The story centers around the brave young fox named Wind and his adventures in the amazing nature of the peninsula. Having lost his family after the encounter with a bear, he begins to look for a new home and a new meaning of life. And he succeeds - he meets his love, the female fox Lava. But the bear returns and the hero must find the strength to face his fear.

Filming of the movie took place in the Kronotsky Reserve. The authors of the project - Anna and Dmitry Shpilenok - filmed the lives of several pairs of Kamchatka foxes, and then built the story around one of them. The authors did not immediately focus on the story of Wind. Initially, he was not the central character.

"It was difficult to review the material and make a script out of it - even physically. We didn't find the protagonist right away - for a long time we thought that the main character would be Lava. But she didn't have any trials in her life, no story of overcoming. In the end we got Wind, who over the course of three years turned into a real hero before our eyes. I wanted the viewer to understand - despite the fact that we are not perfect, we can realize our chances, achieve love and be happy," said the author of the script Anna Shpilenok.

Anna and Dmitry made three expeditions to Kamchatka with a total duration of 26 months. They filmed hundreds of hours of material.

"We didn't want to make a popular science movie, but an emotional movie that would capture what happens in the wild - and we never see it on the big screens. We had to make sure the animals didn't notice us. Our task was to become a background for them to see how many events are actually happening in their lives," said Dmitry Shpilenok, who was engaged in shooting.

According to the authors, a big role in the picture is played by dubbing actor Oleg Virozub - he voiced Orlando Bloom in the trilogy "The Lord of the Rings". Now he voiced Wind. The film will be released in theaters on March 23. In addition, it is planned to publish a photo book about the shooting.
