RUSSIA EXPO hosted a flash mob in honor of the anniversary of the victory in the Battle of Stalingrad
A flash mob was held at the RUSSIA EXPO to mark the 81st anniversary of the victory in the Battle of Stalingrad. It was organized by the Volgograd region and joined by other regions.
At the stands of St. Petersburg and Sevastopol, Donetsk and Lugansk People's Republics, Krasnodar region, the Republics of Adygea, Kalmykia, Crimea, Volgograd, Astrakhan, Belgorod, Kaluga, Nizhny Novgorod and Rostov regions, a video "Stalingrad - the Motherland of Victory" was simultaneously shown on large screens.
The flash mob marked the start of the Day of Russia's Military Glory at the RUSSIA EXPO. The program included laying flowers at the memorial sign "To the Workers of the All-Union Agricultural Exposition Who Died at the Fronts of the Great Patriotic War 1941-1945".
In addition, on this day "The Battle of Stalingrad" museum-reserve will be presented at the Exposition and searchers will be awarded - last year during the "Memory Watch" they found more than 1500 fallen defenders of Stalingrad on the territory of the Volgograd region. More than 50 names were fully or partially identified, and 266 requests from citizens to identify the fates of relatives who did not return from the war were fulfilled. A concert and a light show are also planned.
The integration of special military operation veterans into peaceful life and the interaction between regions and municipalities were discussed as part of the Forum "SMALL HOMELAND – THE STRENGTH OF RUSSIA".
The second All-Russian Municipal Forum "Small Homeland – the Strength of Russia" is taking place at the National Centre RUSSIA.
