RUSSIA EXPO hosted an inclusive cultural program "Beauty Without Borders!"
On June 27, Pavilion No. 75 at the "More Than
Business" forum featured the inclusive event "Beauty Without
Borders!". The program included vocal and dance performances and a fashion
show showcasing clothing designed for people with disabilities.
Guests enjoyed a creative performance by Daniil Khachaturov
and the Inclusive Association "Angel", led by Tatyana Filimonova, who
performed the piece "My Russia". The event also featured performances
by participants of the "Inclusive Dance" project, the ANO Centre for
Inclusive Creativity "Universe of Cyborgs" and the duet
"CyberTANGO".
Olga Prozorova, a consultant from the Social Projects Support Fund, spoke about the importance of such events for people with disabilities.
"For the kids, this is crucial. They are very passionate
about what they do. They are the most grateful, very energetic. It's vital for
them to be heard and involved in these events. We need to interact more with
various groups of people so that when we encounter them in life, we realize
there are no differences between us, that we are united, and that we can find
common ground to help us succeed as a society," she noted.
The brand "Danylino" showcased its adaptive
clothing collection, created by Lyudmila Archvadze, ensuring that the wardrobe
for children with special needs is both beautiful and functional. Guests saw a
summer romper for children with gastrostomy, featuring easy access for changing
diapers, bibs, special footwear and clothing for children with musculoskeletal
disorders.
Zhanna Germer presented a clothing collection designed to
reduce anxiety and enhance emotional intelligence, made from a special material
with a nanocoating.
The fashion show by the non-profit partnership "I
Continue to Walk" featured models with disabilities. They showcased
evening and cocktail attire made from rich, bright fabrics.
Additionally, the event included a collection by the brand
"PO RUKAM" (meaning “HANDLED”) from Svetlana Yanina, which promotes
symbols of Russian sign language and communication with deaf people.
