Festival of Professions "Time of Opportunities" is held at the RUSSIA EXPO
The Festival of Professions started at the International
RUSSIA EXPO on March 11. More than 150 masterclasses from experts, meetings
with major employers, workshops, lectures, career guidance tests, quizzes,
excursions, and presentations of educational programs will be held at the
Exposition until April 12. The main objective of the festival is to show the
diversity of the modern labour market, to help young people who are just
deciding on their future profession or first job to find the best option.
During the Festival 80 most demanded and perspective
professions in industry, agriculture, construction, transport, IT, science,
social sphere and hospitality industry will be presented to job seekers. Representatives
of 69 regions, 120 employers and more than 100 institutions of secondary
vocational education take part in the Festival.
The opening of the Festival took place in Pavilion C at the
exposition of the Ministry of Labour of Russia "Family. Work.
Longevity" by the Profession March. The Government Coordination Center on
the opening day of the Festival held an interregional meeting with the
participation of all 89 subjects of the Russian Federation "Personnel.
Time of Opportunities" under the chairmanship of Deputy Prime Minister
Tatyana Golikova.
"Six years ago we considered the provision of
employment primarily from the point of view of its social effects, whereas
today this work is literally of a strategic nature. Over the past six years,
the labour market has undergone a serious transformation. The unemployment rate
has decreased by 20%. The level of wages in real terms, net of inflation, has
increased by more than a third. In his Address, the President announced the
launch of a new national project "Personnel". The national project
will lay down a system of planning and management of human resources for the
economy. Now the Government is forming the structure of the national project.
The main role will be played by measures to form and annually update the labour
market forecast for a five-year period, based on the economy's need for
personnel, taking into account the rate of labour productivity. The first
forecast will be ready at the end of this year," said Tatyana Golikova,
opening the meeting.
During the meeting, the Minister of Labour and Social
Protection of the Russian Federation Anton Kotyakov made a report on personnel
needs-2030 and measures to train young and adult job seekers.
"The structure of demand for human resources is
changing following the transformation of the economy. In his Address, the
President called the lack of qualified personnel one of the factors that can
lead to a slowdown in economic growth and development in general. In the
perspective until 2030, our economy will have 2.4 million more jobs compared to
2022, and we are already seeing the implementation of this forecast and an
increase in the number of employed citizens. We forecast the greatest need in
manufacturing, transport and storage, IT, science and research, healthcare and
social services. By 2028, about one million specialists of working professions
will have to be trained," said Anton Kotyakov.
As the Minister noted, the approach to forecasting has been
finalized and will allow to present a more detailed picture of human resources
needs. For the first time the level of qualification of those employed in the
industries will be taken into account, as well as the demographic aspect. This
will make it possible to make a more accurate forecast and more correctly plan
the training of specialists.
The meeting was also attended by Valery Falkov, Minister of
Science and Higher Education; Alexander Shokhin, President of the Russian Union
of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs; Mikhail Shmakov, Chairman of the
Federation of Independent Trade Unions of Russia; Mikhail Ivankov, Head of
Rostrud; Mikhail Kiselev, First Deputy Chairman of the Youth Policy Committee
of the State Duma, Chairman of the Board of the Russian Student Squads;
representatives of the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Industry and
Trade of Russia.
"In the near future, new national projects are being
launched in Russia: "Youth of Russia" and "Personnel". I am
sure that the Russian Student Squads movement will be the public support for
their successful implementation. Over the 20 years of its modern history, the
organization has accumulated a unique experience of providing employers with
qualified personnel from among students. In addition, this year we launched the
Corporate University of the Russian Student Squads, which develops not only
professional, but also supra-professional skills. Today, the squad movement is
not only a temporary summer employment, it is the first step to a successful career
in the country's largest enterprises. Gazprom, Rosatom, Russian Railways, KAMAZ
and many other employers are already partners of the Russian Student Squads. I
believe that our successful practices should be included in the methodology of
implementation of new national projects, which will certainly allow to realize
the President's initiative in the shortest possible time," emphasized
Mikhail Kiselev.
The best regional practices in the implementation of the
"Professionalism" program were presented by the head of the
Sverdlovsk region Evgeny Kuyvashev.
"Our region was one of the first to enter the project
with four clusters. Now there are eight clusters in the region, and by the end
of the year there will already be 11 of them. The clusters include 57 vocational
education and training institutions and 91 organizations of the real sector of
the economy. Training of specialists in the clusters - more than seven thousand
people - is carried out according to the programs demanded by industrial
enterprises with the active participation and control of employers. Industrial
partners in the clusters of "Professionalism" are Cyberstal, RUSAL,
VSMPO-AVISMA, Pipe Metallurgical Company and others," shared Evgeny
Kuyvashev.
In the live broadcast, the head of the Lipetsk region Igor
Artamonov opened the Youth Employment Center on the basis of the current
updated personnel center "Work of Russia".
"The Lipetsk region was among the pilot regions to
modernize all employment centers. We have carried out a complete reset. We made
them more client-centered. We will adhere to the same principles in the work of
the Youth Career Center. Our specialists will help young people to build a
career step by step. This includes early career guidance, assistance in
choosing an educational institution, and, of course, assistance in finding a
job," said Igor Artamonov.
The head of the Tomsk region Vladimir Mazur reported on
vocational guidance work.
"To date, the Tomsk region successfully implements
federal projects that promote professional self-identification of children and
youth. These are the federal projects of early professional orientation
"Ticket to the Future" and practice-oriented training of qualified
personnel "Professionalism", as well as the regional project
"First Profession", which we started in February for five hundred
schoolchildren from all over the region. Being a "personnel forge" of
all-Russian importance, the Tomsk region will continue to train the highest
class of specialists on a national scale," said the Governor of Tomsk
region.
On the very first day of the festival, visitors were able to
meet representatives of such companies as Moscow Metro, Kuybyshev Plant, Center
for Biometric Technologies, MOEK, Post Bank and others.
"I hope that participation in the festival will give
young people the opportunity to find that one job of their life, to become the
best in their profession as our winners of All-Russian competitions, to make a
tangible contribution to the development of our country. For those who have
already made their choice, the Festival presents an opportunity to find their
first job. On the day of the Festival's conclusion - April 12 - the regional
stage of the All-Russian Employment Fair will be held. Like last year, a single
day will be organized in all regions of the country, when job seekers will be
presented with vacancies in various sectors of the economy, as well as
opportunities for professional training and development," said Deputy
Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Tatyana Golikova.
On the opening day of the Festival of Professions in the
space of the pavilion of the Ministry of Labour "Family. Work.
Longevity", a new media installation was unveiled, with the winners of the
"Best in Profession" contest as its heroes.
"The Festival of Professions is a real window of
opportunity for everyone who is interested in professional development, wants
to find their place in the labour market, fulfill their existing potential,
change or adjust their career track. For a month, from March 11 to April 12,
representatives of 69 regions, more than 100 educational organizations and more
than 120 employers will present 80 most in-demand professions in IT,
hospitality industry, agriculture, science, social services, manufacturing,
transport, healthcare and construction. As our young visitors have pointed out
today - it's a quest to find yourself. Our experienced career counselors,
specialists, lecturers will help to pass this quest with the best result,
completing it by choosing the most suitable and in-demand profession,"
said the Minister of Labour and Social Protection of the Russian Federation
Anton Kotyakov.
The events of the Festival of Professions will be held
during the month in the exposition of the Ministry of Labour "Family. Work.
Longevity" (Pavilion C1) and in Pavilion No. 75, where regional
expositions are located, in the Home of Youth, in the House of Russian Cuisine
and in a number of other pavilions.
On the opening day in the Exposition's Pavilion C, the
Yaroslavl region team presented a set of cases on employment and career
development. It will be possible to literally "touch" professions
during the Festival. For example, today, thanks to the team of the Samara
region, visitors could feel themselves as a remote control operator in
production, and the Penza region helped to try on the role of a quality
controller of products and technical process. And teachers of the
"#Let'sCode" programming school delivered an interactive lecture on
key business processes in IT-companies and shared the mechanism of creating a
startup.
The Festival program included a discussion on how to support
talents in the region, organized by the team of Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Area -
Yugra together with oil companies. Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Area will
demonstrate the possibilities of VR-training simulators for vocational
training. The Republic of Karelia will hold a masterclass on gold embroidery
skills. The Sverdlovsk region has prepared a raffle for a trip "Touch the
Urals Industry". The team of the Moscow region will invite scientists to
the stand of the Ministry of Labour of Russia, who will explain how to get into
science and demonstrate exciting chemical and physical experiments for
visitors.
The final event of the Festival of Professions on April 12
will be the regional stage of the All-Russian Employment Fair. This is an
opportunity for participants to be interviewed by several employers at once, to
find a job both inside and outside their region.
For the first time the All-Russian Employment Fair was held
in 2023. More than 900 thousand people and more than 35 thousand employers who
presented more than 785 thousand vacancies took part in the two stages of the
fair, regional and federal. As a result, nearly 123 thousand job seekers were
employed.
