The "Beautiful Petersburg" season has been launched at the RUSSIA EXPO. It replaced the "Comfortable Petersburg" season and will last until March 24 inclusive. The thematic week will include a performance-interview "My Beautiful Petersburg" by Nikolai Tsiskaridze, People's Artist of the Russian Federation, Rector of the Vaganova Academy of Russian Ballet.

The project is designed to show the diversity and richness of the cultural heritage of the city on the Neva River, reveal its unique features and draw attention to the preservation and promotion of historical and architectural values.

"Thanks to the national project "Housing and Urban Environment" last year alone, 72 new territories for recreation, sports and walks with children in nature were opened in St. Petersburg. And in total, 226 objects have been improved in the city over the past five years. I am sure that at our stand you will see how one of the most beautiful cities in the world is evolving. You will see how new public spaces are appearing and how the historical look and unique architecture are preserved. At our stand you will be able to see how unique projects have been realized in recent years. And if you come to St. Petersburg, you will see it with your own eyes. By preserving the past, we create the future," said Evgeny Razumishkin, Vice-Governor of Saint Petersburg.

Nikita Yavein, Merited Architect of Russia, Professor of the Saint Petersburg State Academic Institute of Painting, Sculpture and Architecture named after I.Y. Repin, Head of the Studio 44 Architectural Bureau, drew the attention of the visitors of the Exposition to the fact that Saint Petersburg is constantly transforming and changing for the better.#IMAGE_4841e054-3c09-47cc-9f63-39cd2b57ca5#

"Come to the Exposition and come to our city. St. Petersburg is now becoming more and more comfortable - and not only in the center, the suburbs are great too! Living is getting better and better, especially for tourists. I myself have recently fallen in love with walking around the city in the evening and even at night - it's absolutely safe. I invite everyone to our city!" noted Nikita Yavein.

The "Beautiful Petersburg" season will be full of masterclasses, lectures, videos, presentations and quizzes. Visitors to the exposition will be introduced to the modern urban planning approach in St. Petersburg. Ensembles and complexes designed and realized in the city in recent years will be presented.

On March 20, the city's stand in Pavilion No. 75 will host the presentation of the book "St. Petersburg Urban Planning Graphics", a lecture by Nikita Yavein "Profession - Architect" and a lecture-talk by Olympic biathlon champion Dmitry Vasilyev entitled "My Beautiful Sporty Petersburg".

The guests of the week will also include deputy of the State Duma of the Russian Federation Sergei Boyarsky, chief architect of Saint Petersburg Pavel Sokolov, director of the Tsarskoye Selo Museum-Reserve Olga Taratynova, and photographer-artist of the State Hermitage Yuri Molodkovets.
