Open lectures of the School of Atomic Communications will be held at the RUSSIA EXPO in the ATOM Pavilion
On April 20 and 21, as part of the International RUSSIA
EXPO, the conference hall of the ATOM Pavilion will host open lectures by media
and public relations specialists and the "Atomic Public-Talk". The
events are part of the MediaSkills School of Atomic Communications project.
MediaSkills School of Atomic Communications is organized by
the Electric Power Division of Rosatom State Corporation (Rosenergoatom
Concern) with the support of the Nuclear Energy Information Centers network and
the Business and Period Media Group of business publications as part of the
RUSSIA EXPO.
On Saturday, April 20, from 13:30 to 14:30, everyone can
listen to a lecture by Andrei Timonov, Head of the Communications Department of
Rosatom State Corporation. He will tell about the work of the communications
system in the State Corporation and current trends in this area in high-tech
industries.
From 14:45 to 16:00, there will be a lecture by Aram
Gabrelyanov, editorial director of News Media. The topic of his speech is:
"How to see the essence and meanings in a diverse information agenda in
the conditions of modern realities and post-truth". The event will be
moderated by Yulia Gileva, editor-in-chief of the Rosatom Country newspaper.
At 16:30, the program's moderator and scientific director,
associate professor at the Higher School of Economics, creative director of the
Modern Journalism master's program, Mikhail Zelentsov, will begin his lecture.
The topic of the lecture is: "What skills are important for a media
specialist in the era of global digital".
On Sunday, April 21, the conference hall will host an
"Atomic Public-Talk" moderated by Artem Shuvarin, a nuclear blogger
and leading engineer of the press service of FSUE PA Mayak (Rosatom). Gennady
Frolov, senior researcher at the Burnazyan FMBC, and Konstantin Ruder, deputy
director of the Communications Department of Rosatom State Corporation, captain
of the Rosatom team in the game "What? Where? When?" will also be
invited to the discussion. The event will start at 10:30.
The MediaSkills School of Atomic Communications project will
be held from April 19 to 21, 2024. It will be attended by 70 media students and
journalists from 8 universities - Moscow, St. Petersburg, Yekaterinburg,
Voronezh and Rostov-on-Don.
The aim of the project is to provide the nuclear industry
with professional communicators and new ideas for solving communication
problems. After training, the students will return to their home regions, where
internships in the editorial offices of media partners and excursions to
nuclear power plants await them.
The National Centre RUSSIA will host a series of presentations titled "Journey Across Russia's Gastronomic Festivals."
