The media project "Family in Culture", timed to coincide with the Year of the Family, was launched at the RUSSIA EXPO

On April 10, the first episode of the special project of the Presidential Foundation for Cultural Initiatives "Family in Culture" was released at the exposition. This is a series of short video and audio interviews and articles about the role of the family in modern society. The project is timed to coincide with the Year of the Family in Russia.

The protagonist of the first episode of the project was Yuri Omelchenko, co-owner of the family gallery of contemporary art "Omelchenko Gallery", author and regular presenter of the media project "ARTPatrol".

In total more than 20 famous cultural and public figures will participate in the project: Pelageya, Ivan Okhlobystin, Nadezhda Babkina, Maria Kiseleva and others. They will share personal family stories and values, as well as talk about the power of mutual understanding and support.

"It is very important for today's youth to realize that there are 'parents'. They are the most important support and wall, they will always protect, even if they scold. And you will not find stronger love for a child in a lifetime. That is why the family is the basis of the state. And when there are many of us, the state is like a big family. It should be kept, preserved, multiplied," noted People's Artist of Russia Nadezhda Babkina.

"I already have six children: the youngest is 18, the eldest is 28. My whole life is aimed at satisfying the needs of my family. A Russian man cannot live for himself, sooner or later he hits a wall, and he needs horizons. Happiness is an opportunity to live for another person, for a loved one," said actor Ivan Okhlobystin about family happiness.

The Year of the Family is held in accordance with the Decree of the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin to popularize the state policy in the sphere of family protection and preservation of family values, special attention during this period will be paid to families with many children and multigenerational families. The plan of the main events of the year has been approved by the Government of the Russian Federation. During the year, the program of events of the Year of the Family covers 89 Russian regions and is designed for adults and children of various ages.

Articles and interviews of the heroes of the "Family in Culture" project will be published on the website of the Foundation, RUTUBE and in the official accounts in social networks VKontakte, OK, "Cultural Wave. PFCI Grants", as well as on the website "Year of the Family", Radio Pride and in the personal blogs of the participants.
