The National Centre RUSSIA summarized the results of its first 100 days of operation
In the
first 100 days of operation, the National Centre RUSSIA hosted over 150 events.
The National Centre’s excursions were attended by more than five thousand
organized groups. Over 450 volunteers assisted guests at the centre.
"We
strive to make the National Centre RUSSIA a place of strength for those who
love our country, where visitors of all ages can learn more about Russia, its
traditions, and achievements. Every event we hold — from the International
Symposium "Inventing the Future" to cultural and educational programs
— is designed to bring people together, along with their aspirations and ideas.
Together, we are shaping Russia’s future," said Natalia Virtuozova,
Director General of the National Centre RUSSIA.
One of the
key events was the International Symposium "Inventing the Future." It
was the first event held at the National Centre RUSSIA and brought together
over 6,000 participants from 101 countries, including representatives from
government agencies, business, science, and creative industries. Participants
discussed issues of multidirectional development, technological trends, and
future strategies. As part of the Symposium, the exposition "Legacy for
the Future" was also opened, featuring more than 250 works by young
artists from BRICS countries.
Ahead of
the New Year, the National Centre RUSSIA presented a festive program. One of
the key events was the ballet "The Nutcracker," which incorporated
multimedia technologies. Over five days, nearly 8,000 spectators attended the
performance, witnessing a combination of classical choreography and modern stage
solutions. Instead of static elements, the stage featured decorations created
using innovative technologies.
The
National Centre has become a venue for numerous other concert programs. These
include the multimedia concert "Artemyev. Connection of Times,"
dedicated to the work of Russian electronic music pioneer Eduard Artemyev; the
symphonic concert-presentation of academic music "The Shostakoviches and
the Stravinskys"; the musical performance "Symphony of Life" by
Veronika Kozhukharova and Hiroko Inoue; as well as the musical marathon by the
radio station "Glory" and the finale of the project "Voice of
the Poet," which combined classical Russian poetry with contemporary
music.
One of the
standout events was the performance "Sisters," dedicated to the
mothers, wives, and sisters of participants in the Special Military Operation.
The production is based on documentary monologues of women whose stories
inspire and deeply move audiences. The script for the documentary performance
was written by war correspondent and poet Olesya Shigina.
The venues
of the National Centre RUSSIA hosted important business events. Among them was
the series of open dialogues "100 Questions About the Future of
Russia," dedicated to the national development goals of the country for
the period up to 2030 and with a perspective until 2036. The meetings were
attended by leaders and representatives of federal executive authorities of the
Russian Federation, regional speakers, members of the business community,
public organizations and associations, as well as experts from various fields.
The
National Centre RUSSIA introduced a new educational format — the podcast
"Russia Speaks," which discusses topics related to the future of
medicine, science, and technology. In the first episode, Angelika Kiryan, a
host from the radio station "Komsomolskaya Pravda," interviewed
Doctor of Biological Sciences and Moscow State University Professor Vyacheslav
Dubynin. Key topics of the episode included the study of the human brain and
the opportunities emerging for scientists. The host and the expert also touched
upon issues of future planning.
In early
March, the centre will open new expositions: the project "Journey Across
Russia" and an exposition dedicated to Russian architecture.
In anticipation of Easter, the Department Store of the National Centre RUSSIA has prepared a wide range of themed items and gifts for visitors.
The children's workshop "Houses and Little Homes in the City" was held on 19 April at the National Centre RUSSIA.
The large-scale international project Open Dialogue "The Future of the World. New Platform for Global Growth" will take place at the National Centre RUSSIA from 28 to 30 April 2025.
