The National Centre RUSSIA congratulates the residents of Primorye on Region Day
The National Centre RUSSIA congratulates the Primorye region on the 87th anniversary of its formation. On 20 October 1938, the Far Eastern region was divided into two administrative units — the Khabarovsk region, centred in the city of Khabarovsk, and the Primorye region, centred in the city of Vladivostok.
The Primorye region is Russia's gateway to Asia and the Pacific region. This is a place where the culture of the East and the spirit of Europe, history and modern achievements, age-old traditions and the desire for new things, meet. Through this land, routes of famous explorers, military expeditions and research trips used to be mapped out.
It was this region that became the first in Russia to open a branch of the National Centre RUSSIA. The significance of this event was emphasized by Oleg Kozhemyako, Governor of the Primorye region: "In September, with the participation of Russian President Vladimir Putin, we created the country's first branch of the National Centre RUSSIA, where everyone can discover new facets of our beautiful region."
The Governor stressed that Primorye is a territory of dynamic growth, rich history and unique opportunities.
"The Primorye region has always been, and remains, the most important part, a reliable support, and a strong rear of Russia. Together we make the Primorye region strong and successful, we make it a real centre of business life, education and science, culture and international cooperation," Oleg Kozhemyako added.
The Governor stressed that the residents are good workers, they love their region, sincerely enjoy life, and are optimistic about the future. The National Centre RUSSIA is pleased to be a part of this future, and to contribute to ensuring that the whole country can appreciate the culture, hospitality, achievements and beauty of Primorye.
