Singer Khabib took part in the "Memory Wall" campaign at the National Centre RUSSIA
Popular performer Khabib took part in the "Memory Wall" campaign at the National Centre RUSSIA and spoke about his great-grandfather Khabibrakhman Fazliakhmadov. The project is timed to coincide with the 81st anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War. Stories of frontline soldiers and home-front workers are displayed on the project’s media screens and stands, while guests of the Centre can add their own family stories to this space.
"My great-grandfather went through the entire war and returned alive. For our family, he has always been and remains a true hero. We love him very much, remember his deeds and are glad that we have such an example of courage," Khabib said.
According to the artist, taking part in such initiatives is not only a personal duty, but also an important part of the shared work to preserve historical memory: "It is very important to take part in campaigns like this, because this is how we express gratitude to our heroes. We must remember our history, never forget it and pass it on — to our children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. The memory of their heroism must never be broken."
A piece titled "The Road to Berlin" was performed with Khabib’s participation in the historical performance based on wartime chronicles "Soldiers’ Dreams". It tells the story of three war correspondents, played by People’s Artist of Russia Alexander Pashutin and drama actors Amadu Mamadakov and Sergei Belov. The song, written in 1945 to lyrics by Yevgeny Dolmatovsky and music by Mark Fradkin, became a symbol of the victorious offensive of the Red Army. In the performance, it was accompanied by a scene of reaching the state border and the solemn replacement of the border post, symbolising the inviolability of the frontiers.
In the production, the song "Valenki" becomes a duet between generations: the voice of 1945 and a modern performance intertwine, creating a sense of a single musical space.
Lev Leshchenko, the enduring performer of the song "Victory Day", highly praised the work of the National Centre RUSSIA to preserve historical memory.
During the lecture, participants followed a route from Anapa towards Novorossiysk and then on to Gelendzhik and Krymsk.
