The National Centre RUSSIA became the first filming location for the new travel show "Fashionable Russia". It was here that the project team launched its journey across the country, choosing the Centre as the starting point for future episodes.
The show introduces viewers to how the creative industries are transforming Russia’s regions. Each city has its own heroes and formats: from street art and fashion to technology visionaries, architects and designers who are shaping the modern face of the country.
The premiere episode is dedicated to Yekaterinburg — the Ural metropolis where creativity has become a way of life. Here, shangi turn into street food, burdock is made into chocolate, and the walls speak about the city through the STENOGRAFFIA festival. The show’s host, Yekaterina Goncharenko, tries Ural cuisine, gets acquainted with a brand of adaptive fashion, and even ventures into the underground kingdom of the Mistress of the Copper Mountain, reconstructed in an immersive format at the "Journey Across Russia" exposition at the Centre.
"Fashionable Russia" brings together young and experienced representatives of the creative industries. The project includes four directions: the travel show, major interviews with leaders, digital formats on Telegram, and an online community.
The first season will cover cities from North to South: Irkutsk, Novosibirsk, Nalchik, Vladikavkaz, Makhachkala, Kislovodsk, Arkhangelsk, Murmansk, and Kaliningrad.
By watching "Fashionable Russia", viewers can discover new sources of inspiration, and the next hero of the project may well be from their own city.
At the "Journey Across Russia" exposition at the National Centre RUSSIA, visitors can already see how regions express themselves through creativity and innovation.
On 13 September, the National Centre RUSSIA will host the concert programme "Voronezh — City of Russia".
